When Ashur reached Astraea’s house, he found her sitting at a table, deep in thought.
Ashur knocked on the door and announced his arrival. “Mistress Astraea, I have come.”
Without turning her head, Astraea beckoned Ashur in. “Ashur, come on in.”
Bubbling with curiosity, Ashur asked, “Mistress, what is my mission?”
Astraea turned to him and said solemnly, “I will need you to help me bring a message to my old Master. He prefers to live high up in the mountains in order to practice his arts in seclusion. The peace and quiet up in the mountains are also more optimal for meditation.
On top of the mountain, there is a small cottage that he occupies. There is no one else living on the same mountain, so you should be able to find the place quite easily.”
Ashur frowned. This was a strange request. After all, Astraea could simply teleport there, couldn’t she? Why did she need him to bring it up the mountain?
He asked her curiously, “Mistress Astraea, can’t you simply teleport…”
