Beau was in a hurry to get to the spot. Connard went as fast as he could go. It wasn’t very fast. He got tired quickly. When they got there, Beau talked to Mae for a long time. Mae was upset. Connard drank some water and tried to get some treats from Mae, but she didn’t give them to him. She’s good to Connard a lot but not always. Sometimes, she’s a little mean. Connard went to sleep for a little bit. Connard likes to sleep. Connard is good at sleep.


After a while, Beau and Connard went somewhere else. It was a new place, and there were a lot of new smells. There was an old smell. It was the smell of the bad man. Beau told Connard to wait for a lady with yellow hair. When she came, Connard had to go back to the spot. But, when Beau turned to go, Connard tried to follow - Beau couldn’t go to the bad man by himself! Then, Beau scratched Connard’s ears and told him that he was very good. He was loyal. But, the best thing was for Connard to wait. Connard had to wait.
