“This is crazy,” said Lukas as they sped down the highway toward Chicago. He wove in and out of lanes in practiced but abrupt motions. “Security is going to be tight at KunstKorp. It’s not like anything’s going to happen there, but I can’t show you what I’m working on today. Definitely not today.”

Eliza exhaled. She still wasn’t sure why she felt so anxious about finding out what Lukas wanted to show her. Yes, it was part of her deal with Alessandro, but that had nothing to do with anything anymore. She’d bury it deep, deep down in her memory, change bank accounts, and forget the whole thing. He couldn’t very well come after her for *not* conducting corporate espionage, right?
