Book1: The General's Wife

The next morning, I groaned silently. I realized that my back had been strained from slumping down on Kendra’s bed for sleeping instead of lying down on my own bed. 


Runi knocked and then entered. “Young Lady, Good morning.”


I turned to her, groaning while picking up Eastern Palace that I’ve dropped to the floor. “What is it, Runi? Tell them that I’ll eat breakfast later.”


Runi replies, “Young Lady, the General asked for you to prepare for the luncheon.”


I hesitated. This early? I check the time. It’s 10am! Just two hours away from the luncheon. 


“I’ll get ready in a while, Runi. I’ll follow you back to my room,” I said as she exited from the room.


“So did the Crown Princess finally remember how her Crown Prince obtained his throne?” 


I think I heard a stir and then a little groaning. I turned to see Kendra rolling her eyes with her fist. She’s awake!
