Chapter 31: Lonely Days
It will never be the same, I guess.
But school has been usual with flag ceremonies and usual lectures.
Ms. Adele is still going around early in the morning to check on students. Erickson is still bullying again. Dana is still showing off her pretty face.
Students are still opening their classes before the classes. And as usual, guys will always be flirting with girls along the hallway. Well, as usual for them but not for me.
I don’t know if the whole school knew about what happened two months before. And if they did, I doubt if they would feel sorry for me. I bet they are secretly loathing me for keeping secrets, but they would not understand what I went through in keeping it.
I didn’t participate well in every class. I merely doodled at the back of my notebook and once, subconsciously, I was doodling “I’m sorry” notes at the margins.
During science class, Terence didn’t let me help with the mixing because he noticed that I wasn’t myself.
