Chapter 32: Mom Bonding

A few days later, mom was called.

We were both at Mr. Miranda’s office. I was staring at the little ballerina figurine at his desk the whole time that they were discussing about my grade.

My mom was stiff, as usual. My mother had been the usual visitor at teachers’ offices. Sometimes, she and dad take turns when the twins engaged in troubles before. But most of the time, mom usually goes to the office alone.

She told us once that she doesn’t like to stress dad about his children. I didn’t get why she wouldn’t give dad more taste of how it tastes like. I remembered that night that she lost her mind and yelled how exhausted she is in going to teachers’ offices and talking in front of posh parents while risking her credibility as a columnist who gives sensible advice in the newspaper.
