When the morning arrived, the wind calmed down and brushed softly as the streaks of sunlight penetrate through the golden fields of corn. Although the storm bent the stems, the day shines of hope and new beginnings. Perhaps the storm brought Stephen and me together in order for us to see the rainbow after the rain in our relationship.

Stephen’s dad and my mom called earlier that they’ll be able to pick them up in the afternoon.

Darren taught Stephen to do some horseback riding while Harold and the kids were bathing the ponies in the morning. Might as well make the best of everything while we were still here.

“Seriously?”

I was laughing when I saw Stephen in oversized shirt, maong, and boots. He was also wearing a straw hat. He looked..well, like a Filipino.

“Well, everything’s got to be perfect,” Stephen said.
