They were right. There’s another building by the field. It cannot be seen by the road because it was built lower than the main road. They were cautious as they entered, Etelvina was hiding behind Lucifer’s back and Detective Judas protecting her from behind.
She was sandwiched between these two handsome gentlemen and she’s not complaining.
“I will ask the receptionist.” Lucifer led their way. He flashed a smile at the old woman before asking, “Is Tino Herrera staying here?”
The woman shook her head. “I never once heard that name.”
“We’re from PPD, we were sent here to investigate. Can we take a look at your files?”
Detective Judas gave him a scolding look that Lucifer disregarded.
The old woman fumbled against her stuff and quickly fixed her posture. As if in pressure, sweat started to form on her forehead.
