"Do you mind if I join you?"he asked.

I just nodded my head.

"My name is Ian Edmond and you?"

"My name is Jacqueline Wilson"

"Nice to meet you".

I forgot to mention I sometimes get ratty.
He kept on talking for a while and asked questions that demanded answers. 
I had chosen that table to have my peace and to stay away from trouble. When I found his questions unbearable, I decided to leave instead of losing my temper.

"Sorry, but I have to go" I said and walked away before he could stop me.

REVOLVING IN CIRCLES

Miss Megan, our class teacher came in with a pretty girl (but not as pretty as or as cute as Jacqueline). As she entered I remembered what I schemed for plan B to get Jacqueline. 


As I walked to school, I thought of how I was going to survive for a whole week without Jake, who had now become my closest friend. When I got to school, I walked to my class, I met everyone chatting away and I walked quietly to my seat. Few minutes later, our class teacher walked in with a pretty girl. Well she was a red head. 


As she introduced herself, my gaze moved to Ian whom I found staring at Tessa, the new girl. I could not help but roll my eyes. "Does he do that to every new girl" I thought to myself. She took the seat directly behind me. 


Ian tried to glance back, but our eyes locked and he was the first to look away. We haven't spoken to each other since I advised him. 


I tried to glance at Tessa once more, only to have an eye lock with Jacqueline. We haven't talked in like forever. Its not like I have lost my feelings for her, I just couldn't bring myself to talk to her. Even if I want to, I can't because of the stupid plan I was scheming. 


 ***** *** **** ***** ***** **** ****** 


During lunch I tried to talk to Tessa, I saw her sitting alone and I walked over to her table. 


She just nodded without lifting her head. 


All of a sudden, she stood up and left me speechless. I knew that moment that my plan had failed. 


Due to my situation, I have decided not to be close to anyone knowing fully well that I will still leave them. And for me being close starts from knowing my name. 


That's the reason I snubbed that guy that called himself Ian. After I left the cafeteria, I wandered around and walked into a cute girl with blonde hair. 


"I am sorry" I said as I tried to recover the books that fell from her hand. 


"No problem, by the way I'm Jacqueline Wilson and you?" She asked. 


I tried to snub the question but I owe her for walking into her and dropping her books, also she doesn't look like she can hurt a fly. 


"Tessa Evans" I replied and she smiled at me. 


She asked me if I knew my way around the school. 


I accepted owing to the fact that I ran into her. She showed me every nook and cranny of the school and we talked about a lot of things but I didn't open up to her.
