Chapter Four~ Do You Like Me?

Bellatrix rolls back and forth on the bed staring at the blank ceiling praying for morning to soon arrive and at last, it does.

Vivian stands by the bed lightly shaking her till she sits up.

"You know, last night I was praying for morning to arrive fast but now after spending three-quarters of the night up, I wish I could have it back.".

" Is it Prince Seradone? I assure you he won't see you again...he left last night."

"My word! Did he now? I'm glad he's gone, Vivian. Is Prince Dalton around?"

"Well...."

"He didn't leave, did he? Not after last night. I didn't even thank him."

"No, he's still here, your Highness. But you on the other.....tell me.".

Bellatrix's cheeks burn and she grabs onto the sheets covering her face.

" Is my bath ready?"

"Yes, it's-"

Bellatrix rushes into the bathroom taking off her clothes before sinking into the pool of water.

Vivian walks in applying soap in her hands before rubbing it into Bellatrix's hair.

"Are you happy today, Your Highness?"

"Well, yes, Vivian."

"And why is that?"

"I don't .....know." A moan escapes her lips as Vivian massages the soap on her scalp.

"Is it Dalton?" Bellatrix's eyes snap open, a chill running down Vivian's bones.

"Ms. Tongue, I really have started to like you. I demand you use my name."

"Of course. Prince Dalton requests to have breakfast with you in the garden."

"RE-really?"

"Well, let's gets you dressed soon."

After her bath, Vivian picked her a pink dress which she is in now. Her long hair fell in curls to her waist.

"You look beautiful, Bellatrix."

"Isn't this color too feminine?"

"I think Prince Dalton will like it."

Bellatrix nods blushing before getting up. The thin fabric of the dress made the cloth quite transparent.

"Vivian, do get me a little more dresses like this." Vivian nods and Bellatrix heads out, straight to the garden but not missing Victor.

"Are you all right?"

"Yes."

"You look lovely today."

"I do? Thank you. I'm having breakfast with Prince Dalton."

" All right. Do have a pleasant breakfast."

Bellatrix nods before rushing away, her hair swaying side to side.

'She's finally is doing it, huh?'

Prince Dalton sits by the table waiting with sweaty palms. 'What if she declines? What if she feels offended? What if-'

"Good morning, Prince Dalton." A familiar voice speaks.

"Bellatrix," he raises from his seat walking over to her before taking her hand and placing a kiss on it. Bellatrix's cheeks burn as she stares at him.

" I thought you wouldn't come."

"And why is that? I have to still thank you."

Prince Dalton smiles lovingly at her before escorting her to the table. He pulls the chair out for her and she settles down.

"How was your night?" she asks.

"Pleasant," he replies.

"Well, that's one of us."

He pauses while handing her the cup of tea.

"Did you not sleep well?"

She takes the cup offering him a loving smile,"Isn't the first time."

"Is it because of Prince Seradone? I apologize on his behalf. I know..."

"It's all right! I don't forgive him, if I do it would not be him but you which is not exactly sincere."

Dalton looks up at her as she sips her tea. Never had he met such a woman?

'I do admire her confidence. At her age, I could barely even stand up for myself.'

"Care to tell me what's running in your mind?"

"Pardon me?" He asks looking away.

"You were staring, it's rude to stare."

"I apologize for my rude behavior. I-"

She places her cup back on the saucer seated on the table. "Well, when did I say I was angry for you to apologize." She asking but It still sounds nothing like a question. She stares at him, her brow raised. "You needn't apologize until when needed, at least that's what I know and follow."

"I don't think I would fit under that policy of yours. I'd rather apologize sooner in order to prevent further damage."

"Damage? And what damage would that exactly cause?" She asks not understanding anymore.

"Well, be It you angered the ruler of another Kingdom and failed to apologize. It could lead to maybe a war between the two of your Kingdoms."

"Well, this king we happen to be imagining is stupid. Who would dare start a war over a failed apology? And with me for that matter."

"Anyone brave enough," Dalton replies.

"You mean stupid enough."

"Whichever you prefer. But there is always someone crazier than you out there,"

"Someone like who. You? I don't think so. You seem to be more of the humble type. You know, a pushover."

"Is that what you think of me, Bellatrix? If so I must style up."

"You mean you could change yourself just because of what I said?" She asks surprised,

"That's not precisely how I thought of It but yes, I would."

She stares at him silently and he becomes nervous.

"And why is that?"

"Some questions are-"

"Rather better left unanswered. I prefer answers to all my questions. Everyone who knows me knows that I prefer all my questions answered because I believe every question has an answer. But I think I can help you answer my question?"

"And how is that?" He asks curiosity evident on his face.

"By asking you another question except you must answer this question."

"All right. Ask me anything you'd like to know_"

"Do you like me?"

He looks up at her, his eyes could almost be the size of saucers.

"Pardon me?"

"No. You heard my question. Now answer it. Don't keep me waiting."

Dalton takes in a deep breath. "Yes. Yes, I do."

She smiles, "Well, isn't that a weight taken off your chest. I must leave now. I have a lot of work to do. It was nice having breakfast with you."

"Then let's do this again."

"Yes. Let's." She says before walking away but not without spotting Angela once again.
