The Last of the Shards

"Another daemon's help?!" the black cat said. "Daemons don't help. If they do, then the price you pay isn't going to be what you like."

"And then what was the other part you said a while ago, Red?" Ari asked.

"That the daemons' blood is what we will need from them. The djinns didn't tell me more. They just said that if I do ask for more than what they gave me, the payment would cause me my death." She shook.

Red couldn't believe what she had went through. The male djinn was a fucking creep!

But there was also a part of the djinn that Red thought was innocent in a sense that he just wanted… craved, for warmth and physical touch.

If then, why did he need to be so awkward?

Perhaps the answer was something Red would never know. She wouldn't want to pay for such information anyway.

Best to leave it alone.
