I'm really sorry I haven't been able to update all these while but I lost my dad the very day I updated last and he had been my encouragement when it came to writing so I found it hard to continue writing. It made me think of him but I will try to continue to update. Thank you for your patience and support💜

Linda's POV

Before any form of shock can take over me, adrenaline causes me to dive out of the way but not far enough because as the chandelier crashes in the spot I was once seated, shards are sent flying all over and some pieces end up getting into my legs.

Then the shock kicks in. The sound of multiple footsteps running towards the living room is so dull that it feels like my head is underwater.

I keep staring at the chandelier and the broken pieces laying around. I feel hands grab at me, dragging me away from the glasses.

Luke is in front of me, yelling and I can't seem to hear his voice.
