Roland the Fisher

Roland's house was nearby, and they entered. It was an old place with lots of fishing trophies and mounted sea life on the walls. He placed Marinette down on a small bed that he had and rushed to get some clean towels and water. He bathed her head with warm water and made tea. In a short time, she was sitting up sipping the hot tea, the warm liquid soothed her aching body. Roland walked over to Adrien. "You'd better get cleaned up too sonny." He said throwing him some new clothes and a towel. "Thank you so much for your help." He said as he walked away with the new getup. "How are you feeling dear?" Marinette smiled at the old man. "Much better thanks to you." "It's my pleasure, I never got you two's names?" "I'm Marinette and my friend's name is Adrien." She said. "You must have quite the story to tell by the looks of things." He said. "How's your head?" "Better but I still get a little dizzy when I sit up." She said. "It sounds like you may have a concussion." He said, "I'm no doctor but I've had minor ones before, and your symptoms are similar." Adrien entered the room in his new jacket. Marinette blushed as he looked so handsome. "Picture perfect." Roland said, "For a second there I thought you were a model." Adrien swallowed and then giggled. He sat down next to Marinette and mischievously put his arm around her, "So how's my lady feeling?" "Much better he he…" She said. For a moment it seemed surreal that her crush liked her. "Adrien what happened with your dad when he took you home?" He looked down. "He showed me why he wants our miraculous." "He did?! What does he want with them?" Marinette asked. "My mom… she uh is in a coma and apparently it is getting worse and only a wish can bring her back." "Wow that's terrible what happened to her?" "He said she wore a broken miraculous for too long. But I don't understand because I never saw her in a miraculous." Adrien explained more about what had happened to him and how is father had locked him in his room. "What did he do to you Marinette? I never asked." Marinette sighed, "Well he caught me by surprise and struck me on the head multiple times. Then I woke up at your place and he was wondering where Master Fu lived." "So, my father must have a bigger plan in mind than just making his wish," Adrien said. "I couldn't help but overhear you two talking," Roland said approaching his two guests, "You sound like you could use a ride out of Paris if you are going to be avoiding evil fathers and supervillains." "My father has an apartment in New York that we could go too. It's only a matter of time before he finds out were there though." Adrien suggested. Roland smiled. "I can take you two to the airport tomorrow morning if you would like?" Adrien looked at Marinette, "What do you think my'lady?" Marinette thought for a moment. "It seems like a good plan; I'll call my parents in the morning." "It's settled then, I'll pay for the tickets and Mr. Roland can drive us in the morning." "I'd like to know a little more about your situation if you've got time, If there's anything I can do or report to the police, I will." Adrien explained everything to Roland about them being superheroes and his father being the villain. He told him all about what happened to them the day before and how they escaped. Roland's jaw dropped at the end of the story. "So, you two are Ladybug and Cat Noir? I am indebted to you." Marinette and Adrien smiled at each other. "I thought I never would be able to thank you, but you saved my life one day from a barreling bus. Ladybug stopped it with her yo yo and Cat Noir swooped me to safety. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you two." Roland continued to thank them, and Marinette had a thought. "We need to stop by Master Fu's on the way to the airport. He has your miraculous Adrien and we may need powers on our way." Adrien nodded and they all headed off to bed.
