An Unlikely Ally

"You have twenty-four hours to send me the tracking information for the package containing MY MIRACULOUS!" He hung up abruptly. Marinette and Adrien slowly looked at each other and then burst into uncontrollable laughter. "Can you believe the nerve of that guy?" Adrien said between fits of laughter. "I know right?! Like were ever gonna send him our miraculous," Marinette bellowed. "Any way where should we head to first? I've heard there's a lot of great museums." Adrien said taking Marinette's hand. "The food is quite delectable as well if you know where to get it." A voice from behind them rang out. They turned to face an unusual looking man who spoke in a refined British accent. He had rather unkept greasy hair yet held himself like a prince. He was in a plain black suit and had a charming grin on his face. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt but I did notice your obvious lack of a tour guide and thought I could be of assistance to you. This is your first time in New York, is it not?" Adrien and Marinette scanned their new acquaintance unsure of what to think of him. "I do happen to be a fine tour guide myself and would be happy to assist you in your travels, that is if you would have me. Now what am I going on about, what are you two fine folk up to on a such a marvelous day?" Adrien held out his hand "I'm Adrien Agreste and this is Marinette." He said pointing to her. She gave the man a shy wave. "We were just planning on visiting some sights in the city." "Where are my manners?! I didn't even introduce myself. I'm Loki son of Oden," He said grinning at the two Parisians. "I would be happy to show you two around the city if you would like." Marinette smiled, "We would be happy to have you show us around Loki." "Lead the way." Adrien said holding out his hand in a friendly gesture. "Excellent! Follow me." They spent the rest of the afternoon following Loki and seeing sights. Many selfies were taken, and many laughs were heard. They all sat at a local coffee house and Loki treated them to drinks. "How long have you been in New York Loki?" Marinette asked. "Well that is a complicated question you see, I'm the kind of guy who travels the world and doesn't really spend a lot of time in one place." Loki fidgeted in his seat occasionally glancing around him as if he was afraid of something. "Do you have any family here?" Adrien asked. "Family? Oh well I have a brother, but he is not exactly the friendly type." Marinette and Adrien continued to pepper Loki with questions. Until Loki noticed someone nearby, someone who could not see him at all costs. "Excuse me for a moment." He said leaving for a shop across the street. Marinette and Adrien looked at each other wondering what his rush could be. A few minutes later he emerged from the shop in a raincoat and hat. "What's with the new attire?" Adrien asked. "Oh, you know, I saw that there was a storm coming and thought I would be prepared." As if he had called it a tv playing the local news channel started to report the weekly weather. The announcer said that there would be no rain the whole week marking the sunniest days of the month. Loki giggled nervously and Marinette shrugged. "I'm gonna go grab some water," She said leaving the table.
