The Ballet

Felix and Marinette walked outside, and Marinette had a streak of bravery and decided to do something rash. As soon as they both reached the stairs, she pretended to trip leaving Felix bending down to help her. She then punched him in the face causing him to fly back in confusion and Marinette ran for it. When Felix regained his senses, he let out an angry yell and ran after her. She pushed through a crowd and tried to go into the busiest parts of the streets pushing people past as she ran. She had good stamina from being Ladybug and was making good progress. Felix still followed close behind though. "Somebody stop her!" He shouted to the crowd who all looked at him like he was crazy. Marinette ran into a crowded building and raced for a room where no one would find her in. There was a performance for the New York City ballet going on and she happened to enter the building. She dashed into a hallway and ran straight into a tall looking man with spectacles losing her balance. She got up and started to run past him when he grabbed onto her. "Where do you think you're going?" He asked, "This area is for the ballerina's only." She quickly glanced behind her and didn't see anyone yet. "I am a ballerina, I'm just late for my performance." She said panting. "I see, well hurry up and get ready." He said and she ran past him and into a room full of professional ballerinas that were a lot taller than her. She knew she was safe here since no one was allowed and technically she wasn't allowed here either. The dancers glanced over at her and then continued practicing and talking. All of a sudden there was a commotion. "This is impossible! Who is going to do the main solo now?" She heard someone say. The main ballerina had fallen and twisted her ankle and was unable to perform. "You!" someone pointed towards Marinette. "You are an extra dancer could you step in for the part?" Marinette had ballet training in the past and was actually very good at it. "Sure." She said. "Excellent! The instructor will teach it to you really fast and then you'll go on stage in 30 minutes." Marinette smiled; she wasn't sure what she got herself into. She got into the costume and learned the choreography. Soon it was ready to go on stage. She stepped into the blinding light met by the cheering crowd and began to dance. Her movements were flawless and left the crowd in awe. Felix had slipped into the performance looking for Marinette and after scanning the crowd glanced up to the stage. To his surprise there she was performing in front of everyone. He called Gabriel on the phone and was instantly greeted by a harsh voice. "Where are you?!" "I'm chasing Marinette at the moment; she ran off and now she's at the ballet theater." Felix said causally. "You let her run off?! I should have never left you in charge of her. I'm coming meet me outside and be sure to have Marinette!" He said hanging up. Felix muttered to himself wondering how he could intercept Marinette now that she was the star of the performance somehow.

When Marinette finished her routine, she smiled and felt exhilaration from the performance. If only Adrien could have seen this, she thought to herself. She exited the stage proud of herself and faced the ballet director who was ecstatic to have found such talent. "That was incredible! I would like to offer you a permanent contract with the New York City ballet." Marinette was surprised by the offer but kindly refused. "I'm sorry, I can't accept. I don't live in New York. I was just here on a trip and happened to stop by." The director sighed and handed Marinette his card. "Call me if you change your mind. You are a truly exceptional dancer." He said leading her back to the other dancers. This was the third card she had received in the past couple days she was surprised at how many people were willing to help her in one way or another. The director handed her a check for a surprising amount of money and she was greeted enthusiastically by the other dancers. Marinette shyly introduced herself to them and they talked for a while. She changed back into her dress and headed towards the exit. She opened the door and peeked out not seeing anyone familiar. She sighed and then headed towards the exit when something sharp hit her in the neck. She grabbed it and pulled out a tranquilizer dart. "Great" she said under her breath right before she collapsed losing her consciousness. Felix stood in a corner with his dart gun in his hand smirking. A couple people had run up to Marinette after she had passed out to make sure she was okay, but Felix pushed past them and began to pick her up. "What do you think your doing?" A man said grabbing onto Felix to stop him. "This is my sister; she gets faint sometimes, so she'll be fine." Felix heaved Marinette up over his shoulder. "She was the star of the show." The man said standing in front of Felix. "Are you sure you don't need me to call an ambulance?" He asked. "I appreciate your concern, but this happens all the time and she just needs to go home." He said. "Very well." The man said letting him pass. A boy and a girl from across the room saw the situation transpire and they were the next ones to approach Felix. "Excuse me," The boy said. "What do you want?" Felix said rolling his eyes. "No offense but I overheard your conversation and she doesn't look like your sister at all. It almost looks like someone shot her with a tranquilizer." He eyed the red mark on her neck. "Are you accusing me?!" Felix shot back at the kid. "I think you're up to no good." He said. "You think your so smart." Felix threw back at the kid. "Peter" The boy introduced himself to Felix. "Felix" He said back formally. "This is MJ" Peter said pointing to the girl who was with him who waved. "Fine the truth is that this is my girlfriend I didn't want to make it weird." Felix said. "You already did." MJ said back. Felix scowled. "Put her down please." Peter asked. Felix placed Marinette back down on the ground and MJ felt for her pulse. Felix's phone rang and he saw that it was his Uncle. "I gotta take this call." He said taking a few steps away. MJ rubbed Marinette's hands to keep her warm. "Felix, where are you? I'm outside the building in disguise waiting for you." Gabriel said sporting a heavy raincoat and sunglasses so no one would recognize him. "I need your help in here." He said in a whisper. "Fine give me a moment." Gabriel said hanging up. He dialed Amelie's number "Hello?" She answered. "Is Adrien still with you?" He asked. "Yes, he agreed to go back to Paris." "Excellent take him to my private jet and I'll meet you there in an hour." Gabriel hung up and entered the ballet building. He noticed a commotion and then saw Felix. He approached Felix and saw Peter and MJ next to Marinette who was unconscious on the ground. "Tranquilizer." Felix whispered. Gabriel approached the scene. He removed his sunglasses to face Peter who stood in front of Marinette. "Hello there, I'm Mr. Agreste and I see you are helping Marinette." He said extending his hand. "Peter" he said back extending his hand to shake the man's. "It's a pleasure to meet you sir. I've heard the name." Peter said. "Marinette is under my care at the moment and I'll be taking her now." He said calmly. Peter made an inquisitive look and then stepped aside. Gabriel bent down and picked her up. He put his sunglasses on and then headed out with Felix in toe. Peter looked at MJ still suspicious of what had just happened. They got in the car and he placed Marinette in the middle seat. They headed off to Gabriel's private jet.
