Chapter 189: Marls II

Marlin saw his chance. With precision, he made a thin, fiery cut across Ragnar's face, just enough to throw him off balance. Ragnar's massive cleaver missed, skimming past Marlin's shoulder. Taking the opportunity, Marlin spun in a full 360, his body engulfed in flames, and drove his sword into Ragnar's side.

"Flamberge!" Marlin roared.

What erupted from his blade was no ordinary flame—it was a torrent of fire, like an ocean of molten heat. The flames engulfed Ragnar, lifting him off the ground and hurling him across the battlefield. Ragnar's body flipped through the air, landing in a heap.

Marlin grinned, watching his opponent collapse into the dirt.

"Well, how did you like that?" Marlin said, but then his grin faltered as he saw Ragnar rising to his feet.

"That barely scratched you..." Marlin muttered, eyes wide in disbelief.
