Chapter 6

"Crescent! Get out of that fucking crystal bubble." Rhea demanded with a pissed off look. "If I have to come get you myself, you'll be sorry."

Crescent just waved her off like she were a five year old, throwing a tantrum. "Cool your tits, we both know no one can get in here." He leaned back in the comfy couch he'd conjured up inside the thick, translucent bubble.

"Don't be so sure." Rhea fumed, flexing her fingers as she felt her huge ass Hound, ripple underneath her skin.

The Hound Queen just rolled his kohl rimmed eyes and pulled out a glass of margarita from thin air.

"What did Tempest threaten to do this time?" He asked with utter boredom, changing the scenery inside the bubble to a pool. "Switch off your libido?"

A look of total horror crossed the redhead's face. "He can... Can he do that?" She whispered out in terror. "Who am I kidding?" She muttered darkly, "It's you. To get you back he'd castrate me."

"That's not how it works darling." Crescent shrugged, a look of concern crossing his face. "It's not like they can just cut off..."

"Don't fucking say it." She whispered raggedly. "I don't want nightmares. And get out of that fucking pool, it's pissing me the fuck up."

"Calm down." He said smoothly, watching her glowing eyes warily.

"I am fucking calm." She spat out wildly, "Why the fuck would you think I'm not?"

"Uh huh. Well other than the obvious reasons, you've found the need to attach swear words to everything you say." He deadpanned, floating on a huge inflated duck, his blonde hair fanning around him. "Plus Precious is about to come out."

"I wasn't swearing." Rhea denied vehemently. "The word is very versatile and my Hound is snugly fast asleep inside of me." She argued. "And stop trying to distract me, if I don't get you out of that overgrown, tasteless lollipop. Tempest is going to lose it..." She trailed off, mussing her already, very tangled up hair.

"His tantrums doesn't scare me." Crescent said suavely.

"You keep on tagging the word tantrum to everyone else like that isn't exactly what you're doing." She narrowed her eyes.

"No, I'm just taking a day off." He insisted, stepping out of the pool as a bathrobe materialized on his body. "You know the whole mental health thing."

Rhea leveled the annoying Queen a look. "You've been living in that glass circle since Azure left."

"Which wasn't that long ago." Crescent said serenely, returning to his couch.

"Of course, two forthnights isn't that long ago." She bit sarcastically.

"Less sarcasm and more English." He scolded, "How long are we talking about?"

"A whole fucking month!" Rhea explained, just about done with everything.

"You're losing your calm again." He reminded absently.

"Fuck you and fuck my blasted calm. Treated chains and Sol are the only thing keeping Tempest  from his scepter, if this goes on. Sol will lose it too."

Crescent's eyes narrowed. "Shit! When did things get so bad. I've been here a whole month, I missed my weekly facial and skin treatments." He wailed.

"Nice to know you've got your priorities in order." Rhea muttered, sitting on the grassy ground.

"Well why didn't you come to get me earlier. Hmm?" He taunted, erasing the bubble.

Rhea could just barely manage a look of utter disbelief, "I've been here everyday for the past month, I should fucking kill you." She fumed, yanking on her hair.

"That's probably not the best option if you still want to keep getting laid." He paused inside the middle of the now nonexistent bubble, eyeing his heavily breathing best friend suspiciously.

"Lucky you that my sexual frustration beats my anger." Rhea told him, sparks flying out of her dark green eyes. "I haven't been laid in a fucking month, because yours truly decided to throw a tantrum."

"Hmm, say Ri, how do you feel about a vacation?" The Queen hummed, hovering above his friend.

"Have you lost it Cres? What makes you think Tempest will allow you go anywhere when he hasn't touched you in a whole month?" Rhea exploded, too stunned to even swear.

Crescent flopped down beside her and cuddled into her, he might act uncaring about it but he actually missed body contact. "I have my ways darling." He crooned blissfully.

Rhea let her arms wrap around the tiny Hell-hound that was trying to fit himself inside of her. "I get goosebumps every time you say those words." She shuddered.

He pouted, nuzzling into her neck. "Don't you trust me?"

"That's exactly why I'm terrified, well I've finally gotten you out so let's..." A heavy rumble shook the ground, a vicious roar quickly following it.

"Shit!" Rhea swore, jumping up. She tossed Crescent over one shoulder and tore away into the castle, grumbling about hardheaded Queens and needy ass Kings.

She bumped into Sol who looked beyond relieved to see Rhea with the Queen.

"Oh! Hiya Sol." Crescent greeted cheerfully, butterflying his fingers.

"With all due respect your Majesty. Fuck you." He bit out snatching him from Rhea.

Rhea didn't even stumble, she just turned around and started back. "I'm going to get fucking laid, real good." She cackled happily, voice fading.

"Did you miss me that much Sol?" He tittered, hanging onto his neck as the Royal Assassin tore into a dead run to the center of the heavy rumbling and roaring.

Sol rolled his eyes at Crescent's words. "Any longer and those chains would be silk to him." Sol informed the Queen. "I don't know why you have to fucking push him so hard." He shook his head. "And I so don't want to be you for the next twenty fours hours." He chuckled.

The Queen whined and buried his pale gold locks in Sol's chest, "You're a dick, Sol."

"Considering all you made this dick go through for the past month, I think I deserve a little back." He grunted, flinging open the chamber doors to where Tempest was confined.

"And knowing you won't be walking for a while makes me slightly, less unhappy." He slowed down as he got to the humongous creature taking up one half of the large room, Tempest's emerald green eyes flashing from the deep recesses of the dark face.

Sol gingerly placed the Queen on the velvet cushion before the enormous hound, then tore to the door. He paused at the door to look back, luckily the pissed off King didn't even notice him, his eyes glued to the tiny male before him.

Sol didn't even have the time to feel bad or sorry for the Queen as Tempest tore through the chains like they were made of silk, trying to get to the being that had made him lose his sanity.

The rumbling made the Royal Assassin rush out, the last thing he needed was the King to think he was trying to take his mate away. The skill he had used on Azure didn't even faze Tempest, he sometimes wondered why the King even kept him around, powerful as he was.

He might have stayed there a longer lost in thought but a scream pierced through his mind. "Uh oh." He muttered, making his way back to his blissfully sound proof chambers as fast as possible on his two legs. Another blood curdling scream followed the first and he felt guilty about being mean to the Queen.

He wasn't scared for Crescent's safety as the only thing Tempest couldn't do was hurt his mate, didn't mean he couldn't find other ways to torture his wife. Sol stripped down and showered, then flopped on the wide bed. He technically had a day off - finally - and he was damn well going to put it to good use.
