"Yes, Mr. Desmond." Lucy answered and after a while she sauntered into my office.
"Please sit." I gestured and she nodded. I stared at her deeply trying to impose pressure on her but she seemed unwavering. She even kept holding my gaze. I heaved a light sigh.
"How's the investigation panel doing?" I asked.
"As far as I know, nothing has indicated that Miss Maya isn't guilty. It is very unfortunate Sir but I personally think she's guilty too." She replied.
"Yes. It's very unfortunate. I had high hopes for her." I mumbled. "But on second thoughts, what if she isn't?" I asked. "What if she's being framed by someone who probably hates her?" I added and her eyes twitched.
"It's hard to imagine anyone hating Miss Maya, Sir. Although she's new here, she shares a good relationship with most of the workers here." She answered.
