chapter 9

During the second day of being with Levi squad the two titans that were caught and being tested on by Hange, were killed. And the next day they inspected all the cadets gear, not finding anything wrong or used without permission they sent them all back.

At the same time at the old scout HQ Levi comes racing in on a horse, after coming to a complete stop her tells everyone we had a new job and that both Eren and I have to stay near him. Seeing everyone about to race out I mentioned it might be easier for them to just hop on my shoulders as I could run a bit faster than horses even with the extra four total people tagging along.

After a second to think Levi agrees since his horse is probably still tired from just now racing over here. They all climb up and get situated with Levi up on my head like some king grabbing onto a horn for stability and we head off towards our destination while Levi was telling which direction to go.

After squad selection the new recruits for the scouts were trained a little bit on the formations used by the scouts and knowledge the scouts had, then after about a week or so, they were informed of the first mission they were going to be apart of. The formation had about thirty-one groups in it forming a hemisphere shape, the job it self was to test how close they could get to wall maria at least. With the side goal nobody but Erwin and Levi know of. Well with the exception being me since I'm to big not to notice.

Like that the twin purposed mission begun, and unknowingly to to every separate squad the location of Eren and Levi squad were different in each plan for the sole purpose of the second objective.

So the 'recon' mission has begun and Levi had me race directly ahead of the formation like a spear head. Mostly because of my size being about twelve meters tall, though since I absorbed the Tyrantor i realized I can partially adjust the size anywhere from ten meters to fourteen meters, the same height as Eren in titan form. So for the past month or so each day I added an extra few inches and after a month I was an extra six and a half feet taller than the original Tyrantor. No one except Levi seemed to notice the change but he might have thought I was modifying it or something because he didn't bother asking about it.

So anyway, I ran up ahead cleaning the route of titans for the main center groups saving quite a few lives that would be lost in the original. Shortly after, we'll about an hour later I arrived in the forest we would be cutting straight through in the plan.

Everything with the formation and female titan went the same as canon and after about two hours of waiting I notice dots on the horizon indicating Levi squad and the rest are approaching. Levi had a special role for me to play in this mission. If an intelligent titan didn't show up then just kill titans in the forest, but if one did appear then my goal was to wait for it to be caught in the trap they've set up and if it still escapes from that then I come in and take it out.

So now that I've confirmed them to be shortly arriving I head down the path and to the trap to notify the ambushing squads and then kneeled behind a relatively big boulder that I had to place a tree leaning against it to fully conceal myself from the path and wait.... and wait. The next thirty or so minutes were extremely boring to say the least, having to stay still and absolutely quiet the entire time.

Finally I pick up on some distant thudding sounds from my sensors, and silently notify Erwin who gets everyone in position and or ready. Shorty after Levi squad and Eren come through the zone and a few seconds later the female titan comes through and noticed a second too late, thus getting anchored down by a bunch of cables. I then stand up foregoing my cover but staying still, out of the female titan's view.

Levi then comes back and talks for a moment with Erwin before swinging down onto the female titan's head and tried to talk and get some response in anyway. When all of a sudden she let's out a massive screech like what you hear from screamer zombie calling in more. To prove that, a hoard of dozens of titans come from all directions aiming to eat rhe female titan.

As there was too many to handle, the female titan was devoured in front of everyone. Though with my sensors I noticed her stealthily escape in her real body with ODM gear. I slipped away and followed her and with my speed I easily catch up and snatch her right as she was trying to turning a titan.

"Be quiet and listen. You will lose this encounter with Eren just so you know. Even if you defeat him in combat either Levi and his squad or Mikasa and everyone who you graduated with would arrive after hearing the fight, slowing and preventing you from doing whatever with Eren. Oh and not to mention with me here also you wouldn't have even a small chance of success. So listen and listen good. I know your identity and also the other two titans as well, but at least for now I don't care who dies or not since I will move on in the future. And I will ask you one question that I want you to really think over. Do you want to continue being used as a tool for the greed of the people who sent you here or do you want to live free and live a life that is full of adventure and plenty of fighting since you enjoy that it seems? I'll give you time to think but for now you'll stay right here."

I said as I place her into the empty cockpit while manipulating a speaker to appear so we can directly talk if needed without the people outside knowing.

"where are you if this spot is empty. when you showed yourself you came from this spot on the chest?" Annie asked me confused

"Depends on your answer to my question. But for now I'm headed back to the others so be quiet." I say as we are coming up on to rest of the group.

"And where the hell were you?" Levi asks me as soon as I walk up.

"I went to check if Eren is fine. For all we know there might not be only one. Since we know of the Colossal and armored, now the female titan. So that makes three without counting Eren, what makes her the only spy that snuck in?" I reply, to which he froze for a second and then nodded now remembering there was indeed two more. "good point. We're moving out people! back to base."

I began talking with Annie while we return. "Have you made a decision? Being free or a tool?" She doesn't reply and stays quiet for a moment before asking "Why would you offer this to a stranger who you only just met? It's tempting but I don't actually know you."

"Good point you shouldn't trust me that easily. I don't know the entire thing but let me tell you something only you can know. 'I'm sorry for everything I have done and becoming an honorary Marleyan no longer means anything to me.' I'm sure you remember who said that, right? Well I heard it from a friend of mine how his friend was planning to adopt a female child a while back to train into the female titan successor to then control her with his own titan abilities to get what he wants and power." As soon as she heard my quote she instantly narrowed her eyes ready to fight her way out of this metal room before she heard the rest and froze for a few moments until I heard a signal gun being fired from behind.

Looking back I notice two abnormal titans chasing two idiots who basically led them directly at us then died from trying to bring back a scout that they couldn't get due too titans earlier. I stop and turn completely around and form the ash spikes on my knuckles again and wait for everyone to pass me and then rear my arm back and just as one titan came within range I punched and it landed and tore through its chest ripping it almost completely in half horizontally and throw a normal punch at the other as I slowed a bit and also knock it down. I stomp their napes the finish them before heading to catch up to the group. Throughout the fight, Annie watched in a slight daze how I completely and absolutely destroyed the titans with only my hands... well and the two foot long spikes on my knuckles.

She'd see me use weapons and figure damage wise it was only due to the weapon. Which is true when I was using the hammer, but with my hands I'm far more deadly than with weapons as I'm faster and can add that with my near weightless ash magic spikes.

"So that is some of my skills. Do you still think I'm bluffing when I said I was going to live free and go adventure? Because just know that I'm near-invincible with this mech. Well at least for now I am It might change in the future." I said to Annie trying to gauge her stoic face of expression to my words through my inner cams of the cockpit I added earlier.

"I'll think about it. But there's only a small chance I'll agree." She responds

"Good enough for me. Heads up we're coming to a stop up ahead."
