chapter 10

Unlike the original where the scouts have to dump the dead to be light enough to escape. With my help they didn't need to and I just killed them on the run, we found an open area to stop to check everyone, and afterwards continued the journey back to base.

Upon reaching the city the townsfolk were confused at first since we just left that morning, but after a moment many screams of rage and sadness were heard from them. As we made our way through the crowded streets I had to take a detour due to my size and also since I had something to do.

After getting out of view and making sure I wasn't followed I left Annie out and as she is about to jump out she says "I will not follow you where you're going but I do agree that I want to live free." Before she swung away and went to join up her MP squad in Stohess.

"Shame" I sigh and shake my head before making my way towards the scout HQ.

Today is the day that Eren is to be moved to the Stohess to be once again judged and most likely executed. Like canon Armin asked Annie for help to help Eren escape, while she reluctantly agrees while putting a ring on her Stowers.

As they come up to an underground passageway they noticed a certain someone they haven't seen since the battle in trost. They had assumed him to be dead or at least MIA, but now all of a sudden he shows up in front of the small group who have known him the longest out of any other friends they have. As he's standing there, All four open their eyes wide seeing the state of which he was in after removing his cadet rain coat. Their eyes were met with a red haired man with pale blue eyes and a half marks made of a leather strip covering the bottom have of his face and as their eyes traveled his figure they spot two noticeable changes.

The first being that he was missing almost his entire left arm and his left leg wasmissing from the knee and replaced with an makeshift 'prosthetic' leg.

(Author's note: obviously fake wounds because someone can't just disappear for a few months then reappear just like that without an excuse. he just used shape-shifting to add the wounds)

"Rex! We thought you died. What happened to you?" Armin being the first one to ask a question. without replying I reach up and slowly remove the date mask to reveal a face that they knew but could've mistaken to not be Rex. Part of the skin have been completely ruined on his left side, both burns and what looks to have been an area that was ripped off. While his throat having burns on it for the excuse to barely be able to talk without pain.

"I almost *cough* did die. *cough cough* damn this hurts." I reply with a raspy voice due to my 'damaged' throat. "Before we catch up *cough* isn't it too quiet?"

Both Mikasa and Armin look a little nervous, probably because I'm interrupting their little scheme here, while Annie seemed to have caught that and looked around. Armin with his quick thinking trys to continue as originally planned and lure Annie into the passage, which she has every right to be suspicious of him now more than earlier so she stopped at the top of the stairs while I'm still outside to the side as I didn't follow them down either.

"Hey Armin *cough* is there someone trailing you or something, because this totally *cough cough* has the vide of trap just waiting to be sprung?" As soon as I finish speaking both Mikasa and Armin tense up while Eren is just acts as ignorant as ever.

Annie on the other hand looked at me as I slouched against to wall of the stairs at the top, a few feet from her. She calmly wipsered to me "leave" as she isn't actually as cold as she seems, she doesn't want to end up killing someone who can't even fight at all, or maybe because we're on relatively friendly terms? Well whatever I planned to let them fight still but I'd help Annie at least escape, its the least I can do even if she didn't want to join my adventures.

I got up after a second of struggle and passed Annie to leave, but not before whispering while walking, "This is definitely a trap" and continue to leave. Annie who is the only one who heard me looked down the stairs at the trio with narrowed eyes and after a moment right when they finally dicide to go for the capture, Annie used the ring which has a small hook on it to cut herself to transform.

As I'm walking away I hear the battle has started already, so I head to spot near the wall where Eren finally defeats Annie, and stealthily place some of my ash magic circles for both paralysis and ash binding traps. The second one shoots out some chains from ash that bind or most likely in this case will slow a titan down for a few moments before its free again. I then proceeded to climb the wall and sit on the edge to have a veiw of the fight.

Currently Annie is under the metal blanket holding her down as Hange was talking to her before she suddenly kicks out and destroyed the trap freeing herself and running off the stop right next to the church of the idiotic wall worshippers about the same time Eren transforms and then makes a b-line right for her. Right before he reaches her there was a sudden shift in the ground and an ash chain came up and snagged his foot just enough to trip him sending him and Annie to completely flatten the church.

"oh, I almost forgot about that trap" I say before focusing on the two titans. As I'm watching and seeing all the debris flying around I barely pick up on some crying from about a block away from the wall as some debris flew over this way a bit ago. As I look down I notice a little girl probably about eight or nine stumbling around rubble covered in blood while crying.

"I knew this would happen and yet why didn't I at least stop them from killing innocents. I could of had them draw Annie to the less populated part of the city if I only been at their meeting. I know that this isn't my world and I don't belong here so why am I regretting something than would happen even without me? I have the ability to save them and yet I'm doing nothing, isn't that no different than being the bad guy? Well I never really agreed with the whole good and bad thing since to me everyone is a grey in-between and our actions then make it either lighter or darker. Everyone can be both good and bad, or be completely neutral as well. So why am I regretting what has and would have happened? *sigh* I should at least not be a spectator at least, where's the fun in that."

(Author's note: my mind was all over the place trying to think of something to "motivate" Rex into actually helping people that aren't just travel companion potential. SORRY FOR THE CONFUSING PARAGRAPH ABOVE)

I said to myself and swing down and for the first time since stealing it I bring out the centaur Tzendolg, the most majestical knight that was create in its worlds. Quickly enteringthe cockpit, I then stated to slowly approach the little girl with my cockpit open and telling her its fine now and I'm not a titan and I can take her to safety along with any other surviving people that are trapped. She hesitates for a moment before climbing up onto the hand of Tzendolgs and hugging one of its fingers tightly. On my way to a safe place I know won't get effected by their fight I end up picking up about forty people before running out of space for then so I had to tell then I have to make more trips.

When I got to the safe area it was one of the multiple parks Stohess has and this one didn't get touched as far as I know since it wasn't showed in to snime. Upon arrival I create a scene and there suddenly was another titan and I have people in my hands. The Military police were about to attack me before I turned slightly and they saw the people on my back as I called out.

"Commander Erwin! It's me Tyran, I modified my mech and have just arived to see chaos everywhere, can you fill me in?"

(Author's note: I do know Erwin wasn't held up in a park but eh. let's say he took a detour this time passing this park as he got stopped)

"interesting modifications I might say. but i and see its for speed. With the people put them down here in the park and go try to find more surviving people around the destruction." Erwin replies giving an order as well before being put in handcuffs for 'treason.

After letting everyone off I go back out towards the carnage to find more innocents to bring back. I see Eren and Annie fighting it out as Eren is holding her in place as he's biting her leg. Deciding to be a little helpful as I know what would happen in a moment, I use ash magic to create an blunt arrow about as long as a car I then l shoot it at Eren stomach at high speeds. It's impact caused him to let go as he slumps over, nobody seen what happened as it was all too fast... well except the one person who has the most real combat reflexes hear other than Mikasa. Annie saw the ash arrow as it passed under her raised leg before burning into pieces as it hit Eren.

She immediately pulls back her leg as turns her head a bit seeing me in my cockpit staring at her. Though before she turned around I took the appearance as Rex just long enough for her to see me and I can wave at her, before the cockpit closes before anyone else sees me, while I change back I to 'Tyran' and continue my route to find and save Injured people.

Annie currently has wide eyes for what she just saw, the one person who she did not expect to be helping her even in the slightest. 'Wait! that thing he was in looked different but it definitely was made the same way as the other one. Does that mean Rex is That Tyran guy who supposedly helped me back in the forest and made that offer? Why? Why would he risk exposure to help me just now? I don't understand.'

I've finally cleared the effected areas of Injured people and families. Now it seems that Annie is running towards the wall and Eren is a ways behind trying to get up almost in his rage form. I managed to somehow stall Mikasa a bit ago so she shouldn't be able to stop Annie this time unlike in the anime.

Eren suddenly Lunges forward up to his feet as he gives chase and comes up on the first ash trap in his path which is paralysis, which I activated under him. Though the thing I didn't expect at all was the fact it only paused him for about a second and he continued. He then arrived at my chain binding trap and it does better than the last and holds him for about four seconds before he's free something Annie also definitely noticed as he stop gaining on her, and she glances back and once again sees the ash that I can somehow control.

Annie reaches the wall and starts to rapidly climbing it and Eren was just barely too late and even after jumping can't grab her as she reaches the top to climb onto it and looks back directly at me to which I give a slight wave with the mech unnoticed by the all of the stunned or scared people around me.

Annie replied with a small nod and jumps off the the other side, thus escaping the capture she should have had originally.
