Who’s There?

As the night got later, Angela started to wonder about what she was going to do about her roommate and the attitude she gave her when she told her about her fear of someone following her.

"Oh well, I guess that's why it's always hard for me to make friends. Because it's hard for me to trust people." She wasn't paying attention to the battery on her phone, and it gave her a warning that there was 15% left of it. She began to worry a little because she was quite a ways away from her dorm room. She got up and started to walk back, but she totally forgot to turn off her music. Her battery was draining fast until finally her phone died. Angela was still far enough away that no one knew where she was. There was a startling noise behind her, and she yelled out "Who's there?"

No one answer and she began to panic and walk faster. Since her phone was dead, she couldn't call her parents, let alone the police, to let them know what was going on. That made her even more frightened. Walking faster, she hoped the noise was just animals or nature. Soon she had to slow down and take a breather because she was walking so fast. The noise stopped when she did. She started to look around to see if she could notice anything out of the norm, but she didn't notice anything. Maybe it is just her imagination. I didn't notice anything either, and i was looking round as she was practically running. We stared walking again, but not as fast as we were. She finally realized she was just being paranoid, so she just walked normal the rest of the time. She should have stayed paranoid because of the corner of my eye, I noticed a shadowy figure walking about 20 feet back. Dresses all in black, with a black mask to blend in with the darkness. I tried so hard to get her attention to warn her, but i forgot I was dead and that there was nothing I could do. He finally caught up to her as she let her guard down, and put a rag with what seemed to be chloroform on it. I was so scared for her that I started to swing at the man. My fists went right through him. Hopelessly.

He dragged her back to a remote cabin that no one knew about except for him. He tied her up, and put a gag in her mouth so she couldn't talk or scream when she woke up. He went to bathroom and changed his clothes. When h took off his mask, I noticed it was guy she was talking to in the library. Turns out he's been following her around campus since he saw her the second day when she went into the library to get some books for her Chemistry class. He grabbed a knife from the kitchen and went back to the room he had tied her up in. She was just starting to wake up as he was waking in.

"Good, you're awake!" He said as he hid the knife behind his back. She recognized him right away and started to squirm and scream. "Oh honey, there's nothing you can do. No one is around for miles and miles! Even if that gag wasn't in your mouth, nobody would be able to hear you." He took out the knife and touched her cheek with it. As tears flowed down her face, he began to take the knife and stab her with it. He stabbed her 28 times and took her body and burried it into a deep grave he had already dug for her after he had left her at the library. No one will find her body way out there in a deep grave. "That's were most murderers go wrong. They only dig shallow graves with little planning." I was so sad for Angela. I never thought that one of the people I was following was going to end up in a murder.
