"Just call me Dome, people aren't fond of me so I don't care if you don't want to approach me," There goes the fourth year, class A hard-headed boy, introducing himself in front of the class.
[Rude. It's just the self-introduction part yet he already exposed his bad side.] Kevin rolled his eyes while fidgeting with his fountain pen.
"Mr. Dome, watch your mouth. Okay, next.. We have, Mr. Kevin. Please, introduce yourself," Of course, if there's a hard-headed boy, there will always be a class ace.
[I hate nerds. They're a bunch of losers.] Dome clicked his tongue.
"Hello, I'm Kevin. I hope to be friends with all of you," He bowed his head after he introduced himself. [I hope I'm not included there.] Dome kept on talking in his mind.
Dome was sitting in front of Kevin, so as soon as Kevin passed by him, he gave him a short stare.
[What the heck is wrong with this guy? Is he a psycho or something?]
Kevin ignored Dome and focused his attention to the lesson instead. Meanwhile, the moment the professor started teaching, Dome plopped his head on his desk and decided to sleep.
[He's just going to sleep here? Why did he bother to attend school, then? Jeez, I thought it's impossible to hate a person on your first day of class, but I was wrong. How did he even get into class A?]
"Alright, class. Tomorrow we will be having an election of officers. For the meantime, I will be opening the floor for nominations," The professor announced.
Everybody looked around to see if somebody would raise their hand. Minutes passed but no one dared to open the nomination.
"Since nobody decided to nominate someone, I'll just pick the nominees. For the class president, I nominate Kevin and Plum. For the vice president…," Kevin sighed as he heard his name. [Seriously, every freaking year? I'm always included in the nominees.]
"There were no objections so I'll be closing the nomination. Think about it carefully tonight. Class dismissed," Everybody fixed their things in preparation for leaving the room, but Dome remained sleeping on his desk.
Kevin pushed his glasses up before passing by the peacefully sleeping Dome. [I don't know why but I'm annoyed with this moron. How can he just sleep the entire school hours?] Kevin stomped on the table's feet, causing Dome to wake up.
"Time to go home, mister. Continue your sleep at home," Kevin mumbled as he leaves Dome alone inside the room. [He should thank me for waking him up.]
"Why did you wake me up? Are you being nice because you want to buy my vote? You want me to vote for you tomorrow, right?" Dome laughed like a psychopath as he followed Kevin's walking pace. Dome is clearly provoking him.
Kevin wanted to ignore Dome but he got on his nerves, so he turned around and faced him. [Ooh, he's fuming mad. This guy can't really take a joke. I'd like to tease him more.] Dome smirked after seeing Kevin's furious eyes and clenched jaw.
"I don't know what's gotten into you but you piss me off, Dome. I don't care if you don't vote for me. Just act like a normal person, will you?"
Dome tilted his head and made a sad face. "Should I be sad because you told me that I'm not acting like a normal person? Hah, everybody calls me a psychopath. I'm used to it now, but just so you know I'm not sick in the head," He leaned in closer to Kevin's face.
"Move," Kevin gritted his teeth. Dome surrendered his hands and walked away. [God, if I have no patience I must have punched him in the face already.] Kevin heaved a sigh before fixing his collar.
---------------------------
"Good morning, class A. We will now start the election. Write your chosen class officers on a ⅛ sheet of paper. I'll give you 20 minutes to decide. Vote wisely, everyone," The professor gave them a short reminder before proceeding to the election proper.
Dome is currently nowhere to be seen. Kevin thought that he might be late today but he chose not to care anymore, especially that they got into a petty fight yesterday.
[I should vote for Plum, I wouldn't vote for myself because I'm tired of being a student leader. What more if I have to handle Dome because he's part of the class? I can't imagine it and I don't want to, either.]
"For the president's position, we have a tie. Both Kevin and Plum had 12 votes, we need one more to break the tie," The volunteer announced as they finished counting the votes. The door suddenly slammed when Dome entered. [Great, he still had the audacity to attend class.]
"Mr. Dome, you already have a violation and it's just the second day of school, my goodness. Quick, choose your set of class officers before going to the discipline officer's room."
Dome seemed not to care about having a violation. He then started writing on a piece of paper without even thinking carefully about who to vote.
"We have a winner. Congratulations Kevin, you are the president of class A." The professor read the paper Dome had given him. Kevin's eyes widened as he stared at Dome who just winked at him.
[Fuck you, Dome. Yesterday you told me you wouldn't vote for me, but what now?] He clenched his fists as he cursed Dome in his mind.
[Bingo. I provoked him once again. There's really a satisfying feeling every time I succeed in making Kevin mad.]
Dome decided to approach Kevin before leaving the room. "You're welcome... class pres," He whispered to his ear. Kevin couldn't do anything but to glare at him as he walked out of the room. [This would be one hell of a year. I don't know how I could handle Dome's bullshit.]
--------------------------------------
"Why did you do that?" Kevin spreads out his leg to block the aisle. Dome didn't respond.
"I'm asking you nicely, Dome. At least respond to me... damn it," He repeated himself. Dome only rolled his eyes.
"Isn't that what you want? People like you always thrive to become student leaders and shit, so I voted for you.. Is that the new way of saying 'thank you'? Then, you're welcome, I guess?" Dome shrugged his shoulders and skipped on Kevin's leg before sitting on his chair.
"No, I never said I wanted to become one. And what do you mean by 'people like me'? What stereotyping do you have in your mind?" Kevin slammed his desk before he could even start sleeping again.
"A fucking loser," Dome smirked as he pushed Kevin's forehead with his index finger. The class president couldn't control his anger anymore that he held a grip of the problematic guy's collar. Dome still got the confidence to smile at him.
"Woah, what are you going to do? Punch me? Go on. Punch me, then. I won't stop you and I'll let everybody know that our class president is a violent person." He's back at it again with his psychopath laugh. Kevin groaned as he released Dome's collar.
"You know what? I'm already done with your bullshit. Stop bothering me and in return I won't bother you ever again,"
"Too bad, I don't want to stop bothering you."
"Why, you--?!" Before Kevin can express his anger again, their professor arrives. Everybody went back to their respective seats and pretended that nothing happened.
[How much more do I have to suffer? It's just the beginning of the school year and my patience is getting thin already. Why do I have to meet this guy?] Kevin massaged his temples.
