"This is not a good idea."
Cassie muttered under her breath when she realized that there was no one in the parking lot other than her.
There was no need for her to spend a few more minutes on that deserted place for her gut feeling to tell that something did not feel right about it.
BANG!
Cassie yelped when she heard the sound of something crashing from behind her. She hurriedly turned her head in the direction where the sound was coming and there he saw the man.
The man, who has the face of a skull!
If one would going to describe how the other party looked like, the man seemed to have the skin on his face peeled off. Then half of the muscle on his face looked like it was scraped clean to reveal his skull.
Also, at this point, the other party's clothes were already tattered and this in return exposed his body as well. From afar, his skin looked like he was burning from the inside.
From the current looked of it, it seemed that the man was looking for something.
Meanwhile, Cassie's eyes went wide as big as two saucer plates when she saw that and it took quite some time before she managed to recover from her shock.
She looked at the man not too far away from where she was with a look that was even more shocked than she would have been if she had seen a ghost instead.
However, what she did not expect to happen was when the other party slowly turned his head at her direction!
"Darn it!"
Cassie gasped and immediately ducked her head and hide behind one of the cars parked at the lot.
She closed her eyes tight and repeatedly told herself
"It's not realm What you saw is not real"
At the same time, she also tried her best to get her breathing back to normal speed, cause it turned out that she was already panting hard.
"Stand up, you silly bitch."
As soon as she calmed down and her breathing pattern returned to normal, Cassie convinced herself to face her fear once and for all.
Not long after that, she slowly rose to her feet and walked out from her hiding spot. Then she used her eyes to survey her surroundings and heaved a sigh of relief when she realized that no one was around.
"Thank god, he's gone."
She thought out loud and then laughed at herself for scaring the shit of her own for no reason.
"I told you, it's just your eyes playing tricks on you."
She told herself with a hint of laughter. But then when she turned on her heels, she saw a pipe swinging straight to her face.
She was able to dodge it at the nick of time and avoid being hit by it squarely. But because she was taken aback by the sudden assault, she lost her footing and fell to the ground.
"Do you see me???"
It was the man with the monstrous appearance.
But of course, Cassie knew that she was not in the liberty of time to have a casual chat with the other party so she picked herself up, and without wasting another second, she ran as fast as her feet could take her.
At her peripheral vision, she clearly saw how a dagger flew past right next to her cheek. It managed to graze her skin, but it did not cut that deep.
"HEEEELP!!! Please, someone, help me!"
Cassie screamed at the top of her lungs.
As she ran for her dear life, Cassie also did not forget to give her friend a call to tip her off about what was happening at her at the moment. She was banking at her good friend's quick response to come and rescue her.
Ana was on her speed dial so she was able to contact her right away. For the second time around, Cassie found herself hiding behind one of the cars again.
"Help me! Someone's after me. I'm at the park near the bar. Quick! I think he wants to hurt me."
She blurted out as soon as someone picked up her call. But to her dismay, someone else answered the call.
"Who's this?"
It was Dave's voice.
"It's Cassie. I am Ana's friend. I need help, it's urgent. Someone is after me and he is----- AHHHHHHH!!!!!"
Before Cassie could even finish what she was saying, someone grabbed her hair and pulled her out from where she was hiding.
Due to being caught off guard by the sudden attack, her phone slipped from her hand which was as good as losing her only chance to contact someone for help.
She tried to wriggle free from the other party but it was to no avail. The man had a tight grasp on his hair. so no matter how hard Cassie tried, she simply could not get away from him.
