Second Floor Of the Phoenix Gate part 3
"Master do you think we could have beaten Thoth"
"I don't know his voice control ability was a bit too over powering,
His stats show me that he is weak and his body looks like it could break any moment but his magic and intelligence is way to high so I don't think we could beat him"
"Hmmm I guess you wouldn't be able to beat him,
But if it was me,
I would have teleported next to him and slit his throat".
"Huh, are you stupid? If it wasn't for me sending you back into my shadow, you would have been stuck like me and if I can't beat him then there's no chance of you beating him.
If you remember I beat you hahaha"
Shadow and Adam bickered on and on.
They reached the third floor of the pyramid.
They found themselves back in a desert, with a few palm trees and statues of different creatures that were hybrids of animals and humans.
The sun was blazing down on them making Shadow and Lightning go into hiding within Adam's shadow.
Adam walked and walked trying to find the gate. He ended up failing and falling asleep by a palm tree.
A few hours pass by and when he wakes up he finds Thot sitting next to him.
"Huh, what are you doing here?"
"I decided to join you during your journey hahaha".
"Why?"
"Boy I am a God, I am here to protect you and guide you".
"Oh ok, thank you mister Thoth" Says Adam curious as to why he really wants to help.
Adam stands up ready to continue his journey.
"Boy sit back down we have plenty of time to reach the gate".
Adam sat back down and waited until Thoth was ready to move.
They sat quietly for another hour and then in the distance saw a group of baboons dragging along a bag.
"Mister Thoth are those baboons yours?"
"Ahahaha they're finally here. Adam my baboons have brought some meat, fruit and vegetables and I want you to cook for me".
"Whaaaatt!, you made me wait here just to cook you food, I don't have time for this..."
"Silence!!, boy I am not asking you I'm telling you to cook me more food".
Adam who can't disobey the voice of Thoth starts to prepare and cook the food.
As soon as he finishes Thoth allows Adam to speak again.
"Mr Thoth I'm warning you if you make an enemy out of me I will wipe the floor with you".
"Ahahaha boy don't act all arrogant I am a God and you just a puny boy".
Adam fuming with the way Thoth speaks to him, rushes towards Thoth who is munching away on the food Adam made.
As soon as Adam get's close enough, he takes a swing at Thoth.
However Thoth pays no attention to Adam and carries on eating.
"Nom nom move back nom nom".
Adam who was inches away from striking Thoth was pushed back a few meters.
Adam charged in again.
Only to be pushed back over and over again.
"Nom nom Boy do you nom nom know what you remind me of nom nom" Thoth says as he munches away on the food.
Adam ignores Thoth and tries to attack Thoth, each attempt is faster and faster.
"A fly nom nom, they just fly nom nom around and annoy you humans nom nom".
Adam stops his charge towards Thoth and starts to run away from him.
As soon as he gets enough distance from Thoth to ensure he won't be able to hear Thoth's voice, he says
"Shadow, Lightning it looks like we need to take out Thoth other wise I'll be stuck here as a chef for him and I can't see my self making another meal for that jackA**".
Both Shadow and Lightning emerge out of Adams shadow.
All three watch Thoth munching away and knew this would be their best time to attack.
"Shadow you need to attack from a distance, and Lightning I need you to use your speed to attack Thoth from close up and get out as fast as so he can't use his voice.
From his stats he's slow and has poor defence.
I will find a way to stop that mouth of his".
Shadow and Lightning charged towards Thoth.
Shadow formed black holes surrounding Thoth who didn't even bat an eye towards them.
Shadow started to shoot hundred of arrows from all angles.
Thot carried on eating.
"Stop! nom nom".
The arrows were stopped a few inches away from hitting him.
Thot places his food down and stands up.
"Repel.."
The arrows that had stopped in their tracks rotated 180 degrees and flew back in the direction they came from.
With Thoth was being distracted, Lightning rushed in quick and tries to attack Thoth using is 'electric palm strike'.
As soon as he get's inches away.
"Repel.."
Lightning was sent flying.
Thoth who may be slow in his movements was very quick with his speech.
The fight continued for several minutes.
Adam who stood way back in the distance notices the gate to leave the pyramid.
"The gate yes!!! forget Thoth I'm going to escape hehe".
Adam starts to run towards the gate.
While running, from the corner of his eye he sees a massive paw swiping at him.
He front flips over it and turns towards the creature attacking him.

[Sphinx Guardian level 2000
Description - the protector of the gate. A creature who's is 12ft in height with the body of a lion and the head of a human man with a mane. On the head of the statue had an ornamentation in the form of a cobra on his head Very aggressive and powerful, stays close to the gate and prevents anyone from entering, the cobra on it's head spits poison]

Wisdom - 300
Magic - 500

"F***! First it was Thoth and now this Sphinx! This place is ridiculous".
Adam puts up his guard and rushes towards the guardian who's growling at him.
The Sphinx swipes at Adam.
Adam rolls past the attack and directly punches the Sphinx in the face.
The Sphinx pushes back slightly while Adam jumps backwards who was bitten by the cobra on the head.

"Ahaha finally my skill activated. I think the damage was from the bite, now let me see how much damage did I give the Lion man"

"Only 40hp damage, his defence really is solid, but now I know I can beat him. I hope the other two don't die on me".
Lightning and Shadow continue their tactic of hitting Thoth at a distance, but still are yet to inflict any damage.
Thoth who is still calm just defends himself against the attacks and calls for his baboon army.
There was roughly 30 baboons in all different shapes and sizes holding varieties of weapons rushing towards them.
"Lightning, look all the baboons are heading here, you take care of them while I'll keep attacking Thoth and keep him busy".
While Lightning fought the Baboons, Thoth decided to sit back down and enjoy the meal Adam made, not phased by the arrows Shadow is shooting at him from all directions.
Adam's battle against the guardian Sphinx was only getting intense as the Sphinx could shoot an high density energy beam from his mouth.
When he shot it at Adam, it caused a mini explosion that would spread to roughly 10 meters.
Adam runs away from the explosion, only to charge at the Sphinx and deal a little damage.
Eventually, the Sphinx who was guarding the gate moved away from the gate and started to chase Adam.
"Huh, why are you running after me, aren't you suppose to be protecting the gate!" Adam shouts as he starts to flee away from the Sphinx.
The Sphinx while chasing Adam keeps shooting out the energy beams from his mouth causing Adam to change directions constantly.
While Adam was fighting, his 'demon slayer' sword started to act up and vibrate like crazy.
"Why are you asking for food right now? Can't you see I'm a bit busy".
While running, the sword kept vibrating more and more until eventually Adam annoyed grabs the sword.
While running, he skids while turning directions and jumps towards the sphinx who was running in the direction Adam was in. Using his blade that was pointing to the sky, he swung it downwards slashing the Sphinx.
The Sphinx had now been slashed across his face with blood dripping out.
The demon slayer sword started to vibrate and the blood dripping out started to flow into the sword.
The Sphinx went wild and started swinging his paws around.
When Adam gets close enough to strike, the Sphinx jumps and tries to stomp on Adam forcing him to move back.
The blood kept being absorbed into the sword.
Adam fought the Sphinx for a few minutes, eventually sucking the Sphinx dry leaving only skin and bones.
[Lvl 2000 Sphinx Guardian has been killed.
Player levels up ..... another 21 times]
Adam breathing heavy.
"This sword is way too weird at first. It was just a sword, now it has a mind of it's own".
While Adam stood over the dead body, he noticed something on top of the skin.

Description - Dagger made from gold and the bones of the Sphinx is said to even pierce the skin of a God]

"Oh my! I just hit the Jackpot, I have my 'demon slayer' sword and now a 'divine dagger'.
Maybe with this I can kill that b****** Thoth who tried to make me his slave".
Adam runs back to Shadow and Lightning's location.
Lightning finally defeated all the baboons and was now attacking Thoth.
Thot who finished the meal was now annoyed.
"You flies have been attacking me none stop and I let it slide but now you shall know the wrath of a God".
With Thot raising his hands towards the sky
Suffocate"
A gust of wind spread from Thoth's body to its surroundings of about 10 meters.
Lightning and Shadow both captured within the range stopped breathing.
Both fall onto their knees trying to breathe. Shadow using his last breath shoots out a shuriken towards Thoth, only for it to be stopped but Shadow threw another shrunken at the same time.
He aimed it at the shrunken that Thoth had stopped.
The impact from hitting the shrunken that was stopped in mid air, caused the stopped shrunken to move and hit Thoth in his chest.
After being hit once, Shadow and Lightning could breathe once again.
Gasping for air they stood back up.
Thot pulled out the shuriken.
"Heal"
The injury caused by the shrunken healed but it was too late because Adam had sneaked up behind Thoth who was focussed on healing himself.
And with the 'divine dagger' slit the neck of Thot, cutting his voice box and stopping him from talking.
Adam took out his demon slayer sword and stabbed Thot in the chest absorbing his blood.
