Second floor Of The Phoenix Gate Part 2
"Shadow you should take pointers from Lightning. look at how quiet he is and is never annoying unlike you " Adam rambles on as they walk up the stairs to the second floor of the pyramid
"Master do you ever stop talking, I think ever since we left the first floor you've just been going on and on about useless things"
The two bickered between themselves until they reached the second floor of the pyramid.
As they entered the room they found it to be massive room with blue flames acting as lights all over the walls and pillars , the ground had about 2 inches of water, the pillars were the size of tree trunks and were placed throughout out the room.
The entire place was made of stone and the place had a fog thick enough to only see a dark figure of a person
As the three tried to navigate throughout the room splash splashing with each step they take
Adam and Shadow went back and forth bickering until they noticed the room causes an echo
Adam started to find the echo fun and started to shout random words
"Hello!!!!....hello!!!....hello!!....hello!....hello
Booo!!!!....booo!!!...booo!!....booo!....booo
Shadow is dumb!!!!.....Shadow is dumb!!!.....Shad....."
They roamed around the floor trying to find the stair case that would lead them to the third floor
After an hour they heard someone voice
"Stop!"
Ping
[Magic Resistance failed
Magic user level too high]
Adam, Shadow and Lightning stopped in their tracks with their bodies paralysed, they couldn't even move a muscle
"Huh I can't move" Says Adam trying to move
"You have trespassed onto my floor with out my permission...
And now you shall face my judgement"
"Judgement?, listen here we only want to reach the top floor of this pyramid, we didn't mean to trespass"
"You who have no knowledge dares to speak to me so rudely, I am the God of wisdom and my judgment is final, you will be executed"
Adam who's still unable to move starts to ignore the voice and starts communicate with Shadow and Lightning using his telepathy
"Hey you two try and go back into my shadow"
Shadow and Lightning who are unable to move were able to sink into Adams Shadow
While Adam stood their unable to move in front of him saw a figure walking towards him holding an object that was being dragged along
The figure started off small but as it came closer it became bigger and bigger
When the figure reached Adam he found the figure to be a large 8ft baboon holding onto an big axe
"Hey monkey calm down, let's not listen the voice and put the axe down" says Adam nervously
The baboon lifts up the axe over his head
"Shadow, Lightning can you move"
"Yes master after entering the shadow we were able to move again"
"Great stop this monkey otherwise I'm dead"
The baboon strikes downwards but Shadow and Lightning emerge out of the ground
Shadow using his blackhole teleports Adam few meters back away from the strike zone and Lightning using his 'electric palm strike' electrocutes the baboon and drops him to his knees
"Hahaha that was very impressive, to use your head and escape from death, you have gained this Gods admiration, and for that I will release you from the chains I placed on you and you are now free to move"
Adam body felt light once again and he started to move his hips about started to jump around, he had a smile on his face like a little kid getting candy
"Hey voice who are you?"
"You humans are ever so impatient, I am known in your wold as the God of wisdom, magic and even the moon, now tell me who am I?"
"I don't know a jigglypuff"
"Human we shall play a game, if you win I will show myself
And if you lose your life will be taken"
"Huh how is that fair?...
My life if I lose and your face if I win, no thank you, how about if I win I can take your life"
"A human like you thinks his life is the equivalent to a Gods life,
Get on you knees!"
Adams body started to act on it's own and so he fell to his knees unwilling
"Hey voice stop controlling my body"
"I will give you a chance, accept my game or be executed where you sit?"
"Tchh fine, fine I'll accept the bet so now can you let me move"
"Haha good , good you have 1 hour to find out who I am, their will be 5 boxes scattered around the room, each box shall hold a letter, when you have all the letters it will give you my name...
Now go and find out who I am"
Adam body felt light once again and was now able to move
"S*** this annoying voice is so annoying
How can he have magic that can control my body just by talking
What's the use of having max resistance when it's useless against those that are suppose to be stronger than me tcch"
Adam moaned for a bit while walking around
"Master we need to find these 4 boxes before the hour is up otherwise I fear your life will actually be taken away"
"Shadow shall I tell you something, it's only 5 boxes how hard will that be,
There is 3 of us so we all have to just go our separate ways and meet up after getting a letter or two"
Shadow went in the left direction and Lightning went towards the right direction while Adam kept walking straight ahead.
After 10 minutes of walking Shadow stumbles upon a treasure box, he started to examine the treasure box and found it to have a lock on that requires a 4 digit code
Whiling examining the box a baboon walks up to Shadow, The baboon was wearing a suit and glasses and hands over 3 cards with writing on it
"What is this?"
The baboon disappeared into the fog
Shadow looks at the cards and finds 3 riddles
"Ok let's look at the first card...
Mister and Misses Baboon have 6 daughters and each daughter has 1 brother. How many baboons are in the family?
That's easy the answer is 14
Their is mum, dad , 6 daughters and 6 brothers
Hmm ok what is on the second card
If eleven plus two equals one, what does nine plus five equal?
Huh, this question is wrong 11 plus 2 equals 13, let's move to the third card
When asked how old she was, the Baboon replied, "In two years I will be twice as old as I was five years ago." How old is she?
Erm I was once the shadow king not a mathematician how am I suppose to know"
Shadow focused on finding the answers to the three riddles while Lightning had come across an area where the floor was tiled black and white
Lightning was standing on the tiles notices on one side a 2 rows of baboons
The front row had 8 baboons and the back row had 8 baboons
The from row had baboons holding onto spears
While the back their was a king baboon wearing a crown, next to him was a queen baboon with jewellery on and next to both the king and the queen was a baboon holding onto a mage staff, next to the baboons equipped with mage staff was baboons sitting on horses and next to the baboons on horses was baboons with armour made from stone
Lightning confused looks at the side he was on and saw white statues of baboons identical to the real baboons in front of him.
He found them to be holding the weapons in the same location as the baboons in front of him except for where he found the king baboon standing, On his side he found it to be an empty seat
Lightning started to look around confused as to what to do notices the baboon king in front of him holding onto a box
Lightning rushed towards the box only to be attacked by the baboons and was forced to jump back
He left the ground that was tiled black and white and walked around and stood behind the baboon king
He noticed that none of the baboons moved from their places
Lightning tried to grab the baboon from the back however there was a barrier stopping him from entering the tiled area
Lightning made his way back to the statues side and sat down on the empty seat
Automatically he felt his energy being sucked in and felt this connection with each statue
He tried to stand up but found himself stuck on to the seat, Lightning struggled to get off the seat found himself unable to do so and so just sat their quietly waiting for Adam or Shadow to come rescue him
While waiting he was curious about this connection he feels with the statues and decides point forward to see what would happen and one of the statues in the front row moved two tiles forward
Lightning surprised with the statue moving saw the baboon on the opposite side move one of the baboons on the from row forward only by one tile
He pointed at a different tile which but the statue he moved in his previous turn was unable to move to the side so he moved a different statue,
The baboon holding onto the mage staff and realised that he could only move it diagonal
Slowly understanding the game he was playing one of his statues attacked a baboon and took the baboons spot,
Lightning realised that his only way to get off the seat and get the box was too kill the baboon king with the statues he had
While Shadow and Lightning had their own issues Adam also stumbled upon a problem
He found himself standing in front of a river that only seemed to be roughly 6 meters wide
On the opposite side was a Baboon dressed up in a pink dress holding a box
"Huh what is this, a baboon in a pink dress is so weird this voice has some weird fetishes"
While Adam was looking around he notices the baboon holding a box
"Hey baboon girl throw the box here"
The baboon says no by moving her head side to side
Adam tried to jump over the river but was repelled backwards falling onto the floor
"Huh what the heck was that"
Adam stood back up and he was about to swim across but out of the ground crept out a sign board
'Cross the river without getting wet and without using a bridge or a boat'
"Well that's dumb I'll just use shadow to teleport me to the opposite side hehe...
Hey Shadow come here and teleport me pass this river"
"Sorry master I am stuck doing maths I'll meet up with you after"
"Huh you lazy slave your suppose to follow my instructions,
uffff I'll deal with this issue myself"
Adam starts to look around and finds himself in an area with nothing around him decides to sit down and think of a solution.
After a few minutes Shadow had finally come up with some answers to all three riddles
"Yes I have my answers, so we have
Mr. and Mrs. Baboon have six daughters and each daughter has one brother. How many baboons are in the baboon family?
The answer is 14
If eleven plus two equals one, what does nine plus five equal?
The numbers on a clock can make 11 plus 2 equal one so 9 o'clock plus 5 hours will equal 2 o'clock
So the answer is 2
And the final answer to When asked how old she was, the Baboon replied, "In two years I will be twice as old as I was five years ago is 12 because if I double 5 it's 10 add the 2 equals 12 and divide by 2 equal 6 so the answer is 12
Hahah not only am I the best assassin but also very smart"
Shadow who has the answer 14 , 2 and 12 became confused
"I have 5 digits but I need only 4 digits did I get one of them wrong"
While Shadow looked at his riddles he realised that the first riddle about the baboon family was wrong and the answer was 9 because all the sisters have the same brother
So now Shadow had ended up with 9, 2 and 12
He started to input the digits into the lock and eventually unlocked the treasure box with the code 1292 to find the letter 'T'
Lightning was still going back and forth against the baboon king
Adam on the other hand gave up on coming up with a solution and attempted to jump over the river, over and over again
He kept being repelled each time
"God dam this s****y game If only their was a way to walk across the river"
And with that said Adam had an idea pop up in his head
He placed his left hand in front of him that had the 'Horus moon ring'
"Moon ring activate"
The ring he received from the body of Horus emitted an ice wave that froze the river
"Haha I should be called the God of luck...
Haha who knew this ring would be so useful"
Adam skipped across the river reaching the end and was handed the box by the dressed up baboon who than vanished into the fog
When Adam opened the box it had the Letter 'T' inside
Adam continued his walk to find another box
A few minutes pass by and Shadow had stumbled upon a baboon who had a box around his neck
The baboon was 6ft height held three swords, one in each hand and one was held by his tail
Shadow who stood in front realised that he would have to fight against the baboon in order to retrieve the box
And so he started to walk up towards the baboon and formed two swords using his dark energy
As soon as he got close enough,
Both the baboon and Shadow charged at each other clashing swords with quick movements causing sounds of swords clashing echo throughout the room
Adam was walking around trying to find the a box with a letter could hear the fight between Shadow and the baboon
"Hmmm looks like one of them is fighting I wonder who it could be"
While walking he stumbles upon a treasure box
Adam runs towards it only to find to be locked,
And the way to unlock it was by putting in a code
However there was a written sign, only three attempts to open treasure box
"Well I need a clue or something"
With that said a baboon popped out the fog and handed a card to Adam and disapeared
Adam read the card
"I am the beginning of sorrow and the end of sickness. You cannot express happiness without me yet I am in the midst of crosses. I am always in risk yet never in danger. You may find me in the sun, but I am never out of darkness."
Adam sat their thinking of the answer
Lightning game reached it's end with the baboon king killed by one of the statues controlled by Lightning.
Lightning was able to get out of the chair and made his way to the baboon king
He picked up the box and found the letter 'H' in it.
Shadow who was fighting the baboon eventually won and found the letter 'O'
The two of them met up with Adam who was still sitting thinking of an answer
"Master I have the letters 'T' and 'O'"
Lightning passed over the Letter 'H'
"Thats great and I have the letter 'T'..
Now all thats left is this riddle,
Can you guys help we only have one guess left

All three sat their thinking and thinking and it was Lightning who realised the answer and started to point at the letter 'S' on the card
"Are you sure Lightning if we get this wrong just know it's all your fault"
Lightning nods with confidence
Adam puts in the letter 'S' in the code and the treasure box opened up
"Ahahaha Lightning you genius, the letter in the treasure box is 'H'..
So that gives us 'T', 'T', 'H', 'H and 'O'"
"Master do you have any clue who the God could be?"
"No idea lets just shout random names with the letters we have
"Hey voice is your name
HOTTH.."
No reply
"TOTHH..."
No Reply
"Erm OTTHH"
No reply
"THOTH"
The fog started to disperse
"Congratulation you did well for a human with 5 minutes to spare,
How amusing"
Adam rips some of his clothes and starts to block his ears
"Haha I am a genius!" shouts Adam as he walks towards Thoth all arrogantly
Thoth walks up to the three of them

Shadow sighs out of embarrassment
"I am Shadow, this is Lightning and th...."
"What did you say! hey Shadow what are you saying?"
"Master take that stuff out your ears!"
Adam take out the fabric from his ears
"You lot are so annoying,
Hey Thoth don't use your voice command ability let's just talk ok"
"Human tell me your name?"
"My name is Adam..
Mr Thoth can you allow us to leave this floor and enter the third floor, we did win the game?"
"How amusing, If you so wish to leave this floor in return what will you give me"
"What would you like?"
"I possess knowledge and magic beyond your little human brain can't comprehend so I would like something that would be satisfy me"
Adam thinks and thinks
"Would you like some weapons or potions?"
"I will only say this one last time I am the God of wisdom and magic so your weapons and potions will be of no use to me what else can you offer?"
The three of them discussed all sorts of ideas and ended up with agreeing that they will cook a meal that will satisfy Thoth
Adam pulled out his spices while Lightning and Shadow went hunting
They finally came back after picking up some snake meat from the second floor,
They also bought some water from the river on the current floor and so Adam using his profession Chef cooked up snake stew for Thoth
They handed over the skull of a baboon Shadow fought earlier filled with snake stew
"Human you think this skull full of snake stew will satisfy a God, do you take me as a fool"
"No mr Thoth we realised that you are a God who has been stuck in here with baboons and the way you look, it seems you haven't eaten in years so I thought a warm cooked meal may satisfy you, if you can try it out I am sure it will be to your liking"
Thoth drank the snake stew, swallowing the snake meat pieces
After the first mouthful he started to laugh
"Ahahaha this is a first, for a human to make such tasty food you really are amusing"
The three of them started to celebrate happy to have satisfied Thoth
"You are free to go, but here take this human"
Thoth handed over a book
