I felt the wind whistle in my ears, loudly, if I may add.
I looked down, and saw the ground far below me.
Then, I realized, I was falling from the sky…
"FUUUUUUUU—!"
I manipulated the wind around me to levitate me in the skies, and in that time, I calmed down.
The moment I returned to my cool, I was instantly amazed by what I saw. Far below me were forests and small mountains, I can't even distinguish them from the real ones!
I read about dimensional boxes before but I didn't think that it would have this much space! It looked so realistic, so fantastic, and so amazing!
I then decided to observe the ground to map it out in my head after taking my time to enjoy the scenery below me.
This dimensional box has 4 mountains in a square pattern and they were covered by millions of trees, plant lives, and lakes. Since I can fly, I decided to enhance my eyes with mana to see a bit clearer and farther.
I turned my head in every direction to look for the other teams and my own to regroup soon, but found no one. It seems like the disciples here are good at hiding themselves from the vision of others.
I would've blasted hundreds of fireballs into this forest to bring them all out in the open, but I can't use magic for combat. I can technically use my wind magic to fly though, just not when I'm fighting somebody, as my master told me to…
Oh sh*t, I also cannot use mana enhancement!
I turned off my enhanced eyes fast so that he won't be able to notice it.
I sighed, and thought, 'There's just so many restrictions, but… this makes it more thrilling!'
Right now, in this battlefield, I am the hunter and they are my prey!
With a glint in my eyes, I dived down in the middle of the forest.
*BOOM!*
I landed on the ground, purposely making myself more visible to others.
I am the bait and they will come for me, even if they know my strength. Everyone is probably separated from their respective teams since we all landed in random places, and their first thought must've been to find their teammates. But if I just attract attention here, I might be able to lure them towards me.
Looking around, I only saw an endless amount of trees planted everywhere around me. I saw some boulders but I guess that's normal in a forest like this one.
Since I needed to create noises to lure my opponents towards me, I decided to break the boulder with only my fists.
*CRACKED!*
With a "Hah!" I punched the boulder so hard that it made an earth-shattering noise, making the leaves in the trees flutter as my punch made so much force that it made the wind around me compress for a little!
I looked at my little fist, and rubbed the dusts on my doqi, staining it a bit. I didn't care about my appearance much for the sole reason that I was made biologically perfect, and even if I didn't try, I'd still look good in terms of handsomeness.
Suddenly, my ears perked up as I heard silent rapid footsteps behind me, and barely dodged a fist. Noticing that the elbows of my attacker had golden furs, I immediately tracked it down to one individual; the proud monkey!
I backed away from the monkey, and, with a good 10 meters away from him, I said, "You're good, especially with your silent movements."
The golden monkey crossed his arms, still with that fearless smile on his face, as he said, "Hmm, thank you for the praise but I don't need it, for I already know how strong I am! And, before I defeat you, may I ask for your name? I don't want a warrior like yourself to fall to my might without any knowledge of your name."
"Quite a cocky one, eh? Then tell me your name first, if you want to know mine," I said, trying to have a civil talk with the golden monkey before our fight.
"Hn, I am Sulien of the Wukong royal family," He said.
I smirked, showing a bit of my excitement for our fight, and said, "I am Auguste… son of Alexander." Hmm, I find that title quite pleasing. "Son of Alexander" has a nice tone in it.
"Then, son of Alexander, let our battle, begin!" He took out a golden pole staff from his storage ring, and valiantly spun it around, then took his stance. His left hand, the one holding the pole, behind his back, his right hand, in front, and his feet styled in a horizontal position.
I stood straight, looking directly at his eyes that were filled with honor and audacity, and we both charged at each other, going straight for our weaknesses.
Since I was way smaller than him, I was able to avoid his attacks rather easily. But even then, his movements were hard to predict. As expected of a golden monkey, their techniques are usually unpredictable if mastered but it was obvious that he has not mastered those techniques.
As I carefully dodged his pole thrusts, even though it looked easy, it was actually quite hard. The pole doesn't strike me once anymore; it strikes twice between each thrust! And not only that, his every movement doesn't give me any openings to strike.
"Are you just going to keep dodging!? THEN TAKE THIS!" He yelled, unnecessarily.
I was keeping my attention to his pole, when, suddenly, I saw hundreds of golden poles behind him, ready to pierce me!
He smirked, noticing the fearless look in his eyes as hundreds of golden poles rained down towards me!
Widening my eyes, I was in panic. If these things hit me, I am pretty sure I'll be staying in the sect hospital for a month! And the hospital in this sect, for some reason, charges a hefty load of money!
Well, I'm sorry for doing this, but I don't want to be bedridden for a month!
I dodged each pole strike with only my instincts, and my eyes moved faster than my normal limit, tracking the real golden pole!
Then, I saw it, and I grabbed it with my bare hands!
I forcefully pulled it away from him, making him stumble a little but retreated faster than I could react.
This weapon… is a bit heavier than I expected.
He was panting a little, and said, "My elite weapon, if you wouldn't mind?"
I sighed.
Even though this guy is not that honorable, evidence of that was when he tried to hit me with this golden pole many times over, this is still his weapon.
But since this is a tournament…
I threw the weapon away into the mountains, and said, "Now, let's fight with our bare fists, Sulien."
I expected him to get angry, not to smile crazily.
Wiping his sweat, he said, "You think that without that pole, I'll be weaker? I was just using that to control my strength!"
Unknown to me, that weapon is a lot heavier if it's in Sulien's hands because it was tradition for the Wukong Royal Family to put a handicap on each of their members when fighting because of their uncontrollable strength.
Sulien has two items restraining his full strength: One, being the golden headband wrapped around his head, and Two, the pole I just threw.
This is because he is the strongest offspring of the current Patriarch but he was born from a lowly peasant woman, so he was ostracized in the palace by his fellow siblings until he ended up in this sect.
But that is not the full story of it, so, for now, the fight shall continue!
I barely dodged a claw attack from him, which scratched my arm a little.
He was fast, faster than my eyes could predict!
This guy… he could be the strongest D-Class disciple, yet why haven't I heard of him?
"Hah! Hah! Hah!" Countless strikes, yet so few hits! Sulien knew he couldn't keep this up forever!
I also can't keep dodging forever, I need to start my counterattack, now!
I'm sorry, but I'll have to fight dirty!
I stepped back into a tree, and, before he could react, I used it to propel myself towards him with a sucker punch to the face!
*Woosh!* *BAM!*
He crashed into a nearby tree, with his face having a single but huge bruise on it, yet he only smirked as he spat out a tooth, "Is that your best punch? Well, I'm not feeling it!" He said fearlessly as he stood up, shakily might I add.
But he noticed that I was gone from his vision, and only felt another sucker punch from the right side of his face!
While he was talking, I was already propelling towards him with another strike!
I knew that a combat of strength with him would result in defeat since his physical capabilities are way, way above mine. But, since he fights fairer than most, I can take advantage of that by playing dirty!
He was knocked down once again but he still stood up, though his brain has been rammed all over to think straight.
"C-Come out… don't be such a coward!"
*BAM!*
Another propelling sucker punch hit him, which made him crash to the tree again but he still stood up, fearless of the next attack.
"Fight me like a warrior, Auguste!" He yelled, but I didn't listen.
Close combat is a no-no for me since he has a huge chance of beating me with that, but with this technique, where I would use the trees as my platforms to propel myself towards him, is a lot safer than that.
*BAM!*
He took another to the face, and he crashed again, but still stood up despite his face already bleeding from all of the damage I dealt to him.
"A-Auguste! Fight me fairly!" He was already stuttering as blood kept pouring from his mouth.
'I thought you were a monkey! Aren't you supposed to fight dirty!? Then why aren't you fighting dirty!?' I yelled in my head as I propelled towards him again, with another sucker punch.
Yet, even after his face was all messed, he still kept standing up and mumbling, "F-Fight m-me l-like a-a w-warrior, A-Auguste!"
But, even after seeing him in such a pitiful state, I didn't show a single shred of mercy as I propelled towards him with another sucker punch to the face.
He crashed into a tree again, and I waited.
I waited for him to move, yet he didn't. I saw him breathing, which means he was still alive.
Then, he disappeared.
Arsus and my master must've recovered him to heal him in the sect hospital, it is possible to retrieve people in dimensional boxes if you own it.
(Outside of The Dimensional Box)
"I never curse much, but holy sh*t! That was a brutal display! A four years old, already capable of doing most adults can't! And look at Sulien Wukong's face! He has been punched so hard for 6 times, yet he is still alive and breathing! Patriarch, what did you think of that display?" Arsus asked Yule.
"Hmm, I think that Sulien kept his honor and still tried to request a fair and square fight from Auguste, yet the young child kept on hitting him hard even though Sulien was clearly not fighting back. It was a brutal display, I will admit, but it was also Sulien's fault for not fighting back," Yule harshly commented on the earlier "fight".
While the audience thought bad of Auguste, for some, it was reasonable to do what he did.
