Chapter 60: The Monkey Goons and The Armadillos

I learned one thing from my fight with Sulien: I was utterly devoid of mercy when I am fighting someone. And even though he was physically stronger than me, the thing about us is that I barely have any honor when fighting while Sulien was full of honor and heroism to fight back.

Looking back, he was just requesting for a fair and equal fight. He didn't want to fight me while I was using dirty tricks to beat him, he wanted to beat me at my best with his.

Do I feel sorry for what I did? Well, no, I don't have a single shred of mercy for my opponents. I don't know what happened to my creator, but why create me like a killing machine?

Am I perfect for not having mercy towards my enemies? Or am I imperfect for not having the most basic nature of intelligent creatures?

[You think I'm lying to you, Auguste? You were made to be biologically perfect and in his own image. Your creator dedicated countless years to make you, cell by cell, he put you together. Even the tiniest cells were carefully put by him, and I was witness to your birth. The day he died, was the day your soul was put to sleep for countless years until you were inevitably able to land to this world]

'But I am questioning whether I am perfect or not, since I show a lot of imperfection to others.' I said in my thoughts, as I jumped on a tree branch to another.

He was quiet for a while, and then, he said: [You talked to him once, you know? A small chat between a creator and his creation. For a brief moment, you talked to him. You asked him, yet your ability for curiosity was not in you at that time, but you asked him a small and simple question]

Curious, I asked tutorial bot, "What were those words?"

[I'll keep it a secret for now. I'll tell you when the time comes]

"Tch, fine. Keep it, I don't want to hear it anyway," I said, pouting.

As I was hopping, I heard metals clashing in the distance.

I smirked, and said in my thoughts, 'Heh, some prey to hunt.'

I disappeared from my position, and reappeared behind a tree. I saw 2 of the Iron Defense Squad fighting the 3 monkeys. You'd think they were losing because of the gap in numbers, but the 2 members of the Iron Defense Squad were just playing with the monkeys. It was as if 3 children were going against 2 adults.

'They should've eliminated the three monkeys instead of playing with them, because I am now here to eliminate them all!'

The five of them… I will take 5 points for my team.

Carefully, I circled around the trees, searching for an opening to quickly dispatch them all in one strike. My hands twitched as my smile widened.

I was silent, as I should be, and since I am small and wears black, they couldn't notice me among the trees.

I looked around for anything I could use, and saw a bunch of small rocks sitting at the bottom of a tree.

I picked up a bunch with one hand, and, as the two opposite teams were fighting, I threw 1 stone at an armadillo that almost exceeded the speed of sound and hit him in the rids, piercing his lungs.

*Thud*

The guy fell down on the ground, shocked plastered all over his face, gasping for air.

And then, I threw another stone from another location, and pierced the open parts of his left leg.

His teammate grew worried but the 3 monkeys were furious with their attacks.

"Hahahaha! I think brother Sulien was the one who did that!" The youngest laughed, attacking a barrage of punches towards the lone armadillo.

"Yeah! Brother Sulien has never let us down!" The middle brother said.

"Damn it!" The now lone armadillo shouted, regretting the time they spent playing with these monkeys.

Now, look, his teammate was on the ground gasping for air, and he has to be vigilant in case another stone flies towards them.

Seeing them misunderstood and confused made me more thrilled than before; like a hunter looking at its prey, shaking in fear, not knowing who's hunting them.

But monkeys misunderstood my intentions; first of all, I am not Sulien, and second, I am here to take some points for my team!

The body of the fallen armadillo demi-human disappeared, just like how Sulien's body disappeared.

I just need to get rid of the last armadillo because he is a bit of a threat to me. Those monkeys, though, are not threats. They are fodders at most.

I am restraining myself from killing any competitors as much as possible as we have no enmity between all of us. If I didn't, that armadillo guy would've had his head twisted over.

Trust me, I'm quite good at killing.

Looking at them still fighting, with the three monkeys oblivious of who I am, I strike.

The ground beneath me was crushed under the force I put into my feet, and dashed towards the armadillo demi-human, faster than the blink of an eye, and, with a quick chop to the nape, I knocked him out.

I threw his body away as it disappeared into particles, and then I looked at the 3 monkey brothers, who were still confused, and smirked at them.

"Huh? What just happened?" The youngest of the brothers asked.

One moment I was 10 meters away from them, the other I was already in front of them, bashing their heads together.

The youngest shook in fear but I didn't stop as I used my knee to bash his head, making it spurt blood a bit.

Their bodies disappeared after incapacitating them.

"Now, I have 5 points," I said, "I just wish they put an announcer that will announce how many points I have."

After some useless ramblings, I disappeared after a burst of speed.

The strongest here was probably that golden monkey, Sulien, and since I had already defeated him, I think I will be able to breezily pass this tournament without a hitch.

The only thing I need to do is hunt for more competitors to eliminate, and I think that's the hardest part so far.

(Outside)

"Aaaand the Monkey Emperors have been wiped out! What did you think of that, patriarch Yule? Auguste just defeated six disciples on his own and earned 6 points without much effort except for a bit of dirty tricks here and there!" Arsus commented.

"It is obvious that Auguste is holding back, by a lot. His hands, they twitched when he was hunting them; he was restraining himself from decapitating them all. When he smiled wide, he was trying not to pull their hearts out. It seems like the young child has been accustomed to killing that it became almost a second nature to him. While this is sad to see, it is a blessing for our sect since he can be a big help once he grows older," Yule said, examining his disciple very closely.

The people watching the five-team battle royale were uncomfortable because they just heard that a child was already accustomed to killing at such a young age.

The disciples, though, were mixed in emotions.

Some were envious and some had looks of pity in their eyes.
