Chapter 75: Undead Dragon 1

[Floor 86]

The arena on this floor was a flat land, where a plain laid still. Ceilings, decorated with the colors of the sky, and authentic grass put on the ground.

My enemies this time were humanoid cheetahs. Orange and black fur covered their bodies with two round ears and sharp, deep, black eyes. They were surrounding me, all 10 of them, and I was extremely cautious with each of my movements.

Unlike the other monsters I've fought in this dungeon, these humanoid cheetahs can formulate strategies in the middle of the battle, which made things a lot difficult for me. And combining their high per-sonic speed, they were a force to be reckoned with.

Their hits weren't that strong but they could crack my barrier with enough punches. While the giants earlier totally dominated me in terms of physical strength, these cheetahs dominate me in terms of speed.

It's hard to follow their movement, and they have long broken the sound barrier way earlier in the fight!

I am treading carefully here since within a single movement of mine, they can move thrice my speed. But I could see that they were also having a hard time fighting me as I could now predict their movements due to the fights earlier, which heightened my reaction time and instinctual reflexes.

I could time my attack with their speed, which is probably a huge headache for them. They were complacent, arrogant even, so me learning their movements' time must've hurt their pride.

But my only goal was to kill them, and I will achieve that… no matter the cost.

While looking at them, I couldn't help but smirk as I held a very peculiar dagger in my right hand. The dagger that once brought me great victory, and one of my most dangerous weapons.

The Poisonous Dagger. One slash of this can kill them instantly, regardless of their physical speed or strength. A single cut can kill them, and I know just how to execute it.

While they are indeed 3 times faster than me, I can also be as fast as them with a simple yet useful technique; Mana Enhancement. This technique is completely broken since it is a simple technique that can be both useful to a cultivator and a regular commander in a kingdom or an empire.

But the downsides of this is that it consumes a great amount of mana, which, as you know, is not a problem for me, and the other is that it harms the body way too much. But that's not a problem for me since I have dozens of rejuvenation pills.

And, I have all the mana in the world to spare, I'm not holding back!

I subtracted 10 clones from my physical training, and brought them with me.

I expanded my barrier, and when they arrived, I whispered, "Distract them," and they disappeared.

Using mana enhancement on my entire body, even my senses, I felt stronger than before. I was brimming with power! But I could feel my body slowly breaking itself, so I have to finish this, fast!

I broke the speed barrier as I disappeared, making everything around me bend!

For a split second, I heard tutorial bot sigh: [This recklessness of yours will kill you one day, Auguste]

But I ignored him, and went on massacring the humanoid cheetahs while they were being distracted by my clones!

(A Few Minutes Later)

"Hah… hah…" I panted as I felt the drawbacks of using mana enhancement on my ENTIRE body.

The cheetahs were dead, and I sighed in relief now that I can rest.

"That wasn't so hard," I said, while my clones waited for my command.

Since I was still recovering from the earlier battle, I took the time to inspect the appearance of my clones.

They all looked the same as me—that was no brainer. They all had black hair, black eyes, white skin, pale-red lips, and wearing the same clothes as I. They wore the face of emotionlessness, which made them kind of stale. But I was fascinated by their mere existence as whoever made them, my creator maybe, was a genius. They could die, like literally die! They won't just disappear in a puff of smoke, no, they can die just like every living creature there is.

But that was enough time inspecting my clones, I needed to finish the rest of the floors soon.

I slowly stood up just after swallowing a rejuvenation pill, and my clones were all sent back to training again. They vanished from my vision, and I dusted off my pants.

"You could perform clone magic? Well, ain't that a surprise! They were physical clones, too! You are, indeed, worthy of wielding the great and mighty, Thanatos! Hahahahaha!!" My weapon laughed, smugly if I say so myself.

I ignored the nonsensical ramblings of my scythe, and went to the lone door in the middle of the plain that has a ladder that goes down to Floor 87.

"Tsk, can't believe I didn't get a laugh from that," The talking weapon said, clicking his nonexistent tongue.

Again, I ignored his ramblings, and I went down the ladders.

I cannot waste any more time, after all.

(4 Days Later)

[Floor 99]

Well, what do you know? This floor was the last floor, and it holds a single undead dragon that was way stronger than the current me.

The dragon had this stomach-turning scent that almost made me puke my guts out. Its body was rotting beyond belief, even its bones were exposed along with the dead cavities.

Instead of roaring, it stayed silent. The dragon's throat was already destroyed. Must be because of the rot.

While I looked calm on the outside, I was panicking inside. This undead creature is way, WAY, stronger than me. It's almost unfair!

Though it hasn't noticed me as one of the pillars supporting the gigantic throne room became my hiding spot, and since it's undead, it cannot smell or feel anything anymore. It could feel a BIT of pain, if only I had holy magic. But I haven't learnt that yet, and I was a bit of a dumbass not taking the time earlier to buy the manual from the [SHOP].

And Kill Points wouldn't have been a problem as I have literally millions of them!

[Kill Points: 18,250,000]

Apparently, the sound notifications were turned off, and I think I was the one who did that last time. Almost a year ago, I think I asked tutorial bot to turn it off since the sounds the notification made kinda hurt my head.

Anyway, that doesn't matter right now.

"Partner," Thanatos whispered, "Let's just go beat the crap out of that dragon."

I whispered back, "I can't. Elemental magic is futile to use against a dragon, and I don't have the physical strength to defeat it. Our battle would probably last for a couple of days, and I can't have that; I need to get back to the sect, and quick!"

I need to defeat the undead dragon to get the object that the elf guy wanted, but that's going to be a bit difficult to do.

I was almost in the pits of despair, when tutorial bot said:

[Well, there is an item that could kill undead creatures instantly in the [Shop] but…]

I knew where this guy was going, so I said in my thoughts, 'Just tell me the price, and I'll buy it.'

If I could see him right now, I would be pissed since he is currently smirking.

[The price is 2.5 Million Kill Points, and this is just the lowered down version of it. The original version can cost you billions of Kill Points, but hey, that thing can kill undead gods, so the price is totally reasonable]

Yeah, billions of KP… totally reasonable…

I sighed, "Can I get a discount or something?"

[Heh, of course you ca—NOT! Who do you take me for? A moron!? Pay the full price, motherf*cker!]

Sometimes, I wonder why this guy hates me.
