Crusader

Khan glanced at Belia, trying to see how she was affected after killing for the first time. What he saw was indifference. It didn't seem like she fell to the dark side, instead she seemed further to the light.

"I now understand." She spoke suddenly. "The greatest gift I can give those who seek their ruin is to allow them to return to the force; To cleanse their filth from the galaxy. Their petty struggles for power have caused the galaxy to stagnate, and only a purge can return this place to peace."

"Hahaha!" A burst of deep laughter erupted from inside Khan's suit of armor. Never did he think things would turn out like this. If the Jedi are monks, then Belia has taken on the role of a crusader.

"Yes! Let us cleanse this planet of this filth!" His voice reverberated with the power of the dark side. Years of planning and training weren't in vain. She will become his greatest enforcer to purge the galaxy of obstacles in his path.

"Don't think you've won yet!!" Crik yelled and gave the order. The top of the pit became filled with Vollick overlooking them from above, their blasters aimed at Khan and his group.

"Belia, buy me some time." Khan glanced at the Vollick above him, he grew tired of playing this game with these primitive people.

"Yes." Belia stepped forward and raised her hands.

"Fire!!" Crik yelled, his finger pointed at them and saliva flew from his mouth.

Blaster fire rained down but a blue dome appeared around them. The bolts hit the shield and caused ripples to cascade from every angle.

Belia struggled and cracks formed on the shield. Her body hunched as though she carried immense weight.

Khan wasn't idle, his lightsaber had returned to his waist and his hands were spread. Red tendrils drilled from the dead bodies as he absorbed their remaining life, fear, and pain that lingered in the arena.

The force boiled around him, threatening to consume him if he failed the ritual. Power seeped into his body and he felt like he was going to burst.

Just as the Force Shield was about to break, Khan's hands snapped upwards.

"Unlimited!! Power!!!" All the energy he drained was funneled to his hands. He thrust them into the air and a beam made from countless bolts of dark purple lightning shot from his fingertips.

The lightning arced in the air and spread out like a canopy, striking every gunner above the pit. Their screams and pain only further improved his power; Their bodies being destroyed from the inside out.

Crik watched in horror as hundreds of his men collapsed to the ground and died. He stumbled backward and was just about to turn around and escape when something pulled his body.

Belia yanked her hand backward and pulled Crik to her. He flew through the air like a rag doll and screamed in horror. "Return to the force and cleanse your spirit."

Her silver-white blade stabbed forward and impaled Crik right through the chest. His body tensed up before the light faded from his eyes.

The last bit of absorbed energy left Khan's body and the lightning stopped. Bodies rained from above with the drop of his hands. Beneath the mask, his face was pale and drained of energy.

He took a few heavy steps to one of the few remaining Vollick in the arena. He tried backing up but Khan stretched out his hand. His body was dragged in front of Khan, and Khan's fingers wrapped around his neck.

He drained the life from the Vollick's body and recovered his injuries, turning the man into a husk by the second.

Those who lived were further driven to fear when they saw this. The power displayed by Khan made it impossible to think about resisting.

Belia's blade slashed through Crik's body and pointed at the remaining crowd. She glanced at  Khan to her side. "What now, should we kill them all? Or do you have other plans?"

Her words didn't contain any malice but mercy. She truly believed death was the greatest gift for these people.

"No." Khan shook his head. "I still need a few alive."

Belia flew into the audience the moment she got her answer. Her blade swung and she began mowing down the crowd.

The droids moved to block a few exits and began killing as well.

Khan could feel their fear and pain but his eyes were locked on the force-sensitive Rattataki. He doesn't know how rare force sensitivity is, he wouldn't miss this chance.

For years he's lacked a test subject, not wanting to waste his efforts on Belia and accidentally damage her. He strode forward and crouched down. His hand hovered over her head and tendrils bore inside.

Fueled by the deaths around him, he easily broke any defenses she had. He permeated her body with the force, leaving no crevice unexplored.

"Interesting, compared to other creatures there's a slight rejection as I try to probe her body. Is this due to her higher midi-chlorian count?" His fingers swayed as he applied more power.

The muscles of her body constricted and her back arched. He tried to dominate this force in her body just as he's done to countless other minds.

"Maybe I'm coming at it from the wrong angle. While midi-chlorians are alive, do they have a conscience? Or do they act on instinct and programing like other microorganisms?"

So far he's been trying to influence midi-chlorians based on the abilities created from his telepathic nature. "Maybe I should branch out from Drain Life, its ability to siphon life essence is more like what I need."

Belia walked next to him while he was experimenting. "The assassin droid went after the few that escaped. There are twelve Rattataki and eight Vollick still alive."

Her eyes turned towards the Rattataki girl on the ground. She could feel the dark side from her body, the first force user she's seen besides Khan.

"Twenty? That should be enough for my initial experiments." He glanced to the side and saw them being guarded by the mercenary droids.

"Should we move them back to the ship?" Belia pulled out a communicator that could call Habitat to them.

"No rush. It will take some time for her to survey three gas giants." Khan stood back up and pointed to the girl. "Find something to bind her arms and legs."

He moved towards his captives, their bodies shivered as he approached. It was impossible to tell these were hardened warriors just a moment before.

Khan didn't care, he walked up to a Vollick and placed his hand on his face. The man screamed, Khan's fingers squeezed and locked the man in place.

He began slowly draining the man's life, feeling every movement of his essence passing to him. Revan's teachings resounded in his mind at the same time.

He remembered force drain could not only drain life, but the force itself. The man dropped dead to the ground and he moved to his next target.

This time he tried drawing upon that force that blocked his probe earlier. The only problem was he couldn't even feel it coming from this man. He tried prying deeper but he couldn't find anything.

After killing four Vollicks he suddenly stopped. He realized he already had everything he needed to identify a force sensitive. All he needs to do is increase his practice of Force Drain and he could feel if they had a connection to the force.

Belia saw him stop and came to him in confusion. "Are you done already?" She looked at the remaining sixteen captives in suspicion.

"No, I'm just getting started." Khan shook his head and put some distance between himself and the captives.

He raised his hand and a wave of force reached forward. It enveloped the captives for a moment and seeped into their bodies. He gripped his fingers tightly and strings of red energy shot towards his hand.

They screamed in pain and their bodies went limp; Falling to the ground as their lifeforce was stripped.

"It takes too long to use this technique from a range, there has to be a way to improve it." He felt disappointed when he didn't feel any force sensitivity from any of them.

He watched with Belia as their bodies turned to husks. From draining twenty people, the energy in his body was too much. He turned his hand towards Belia and shoved some energy into her body.

She felt the fatigue vanish as power filled her body. She looked at Khan in surprise before closing her eyes. Even if Khan was doing this by twisting the force, it was the force non the less.

She felt how the energy flowed through the force and remembered the feeling. The abilities she can practice are so small she jumped at the chance to learn something new.

Besides telekinesis, barriers, and mental abilities she knows nothing else. She only learned barriers from Khan as he researched into shields.

With the pressure relieved, he stretched his hand towards the tied-up Rattataki. His force entered her body and completed the first step of Force Drain. He could feel her force sensitivity but he stopped. His hand dropped and he didn't continue.

He wasn't sure if Force Drain destroyed her midi-chlorians or just drained her energy. Until he found another force sensitive he wouldn't break his only subject. He had a feeling it was the former, based on his victims turning to husks.

"This place has lost its value, let's head back to the landing ship. We're going to search the other gladiatorial pits for force sensitives." He signaled for one of the droids to carry the girl.

Belia looked around but didn't see the assassin droid return. "Was the assassin destroyed?"

Khan closed his eyes and felt for his connection to it. His head turned to the side a little confused. "It's not far from here, it should have encountered a situation it cannot solve."

"Let's see what happened." Belia's curiosity returned as she jumped back into the audience seating; Ignoring the piles of bodies all around her.

Khan jumped up after her, wanting to see what stumped his droid.
