RAVEN BRANWEN POV
"To be fair, I've still not decided about what to do with her." Jaune said "That's even assuming that we'll be able to tag her. Taking a photo of her might be easy. But it also might be hard. Mostly because she always stays in the Land of Darkness and we'll have to go to that place if we want to capture her. I'll decide what I want to do with her after we've successfully captured her."
But even as he said that she knew that Salem would probably be captured by him in the near future.
After all, taking a photo of someone is not very hard. He could just send one of them to do it. And even if they die afterward… they would've accomplished their task of removing the Queen of the Grimm from the game.
She imagined Ozpin's expression once he realized that the threat of Salem was finally gone… because Salem was forced into the Harem of a teenage boy.
The thought would've been far more amusing if she herself hadn't been forced into this Harem as well.
Qrow must never know.
"What about the other options in the Catalog?" she asked.
One of the 200 point options called 'Warranty Plan' basically gives them immortality by re-spawning them every 72 hours after they die.
"What about them?" Jaune asked.
"Selling Salem will give us a lot of points." She said "And there are a lot of 5th tier girls in Remnant that are on the bounty list and could be sold. Don't you think that we should take advantage of this?"
"You mean capture all those innocent Huntress-in-training and sell them?" he asked, looking horrified at her suggestion.
She nodded. "Don't fool yourself. Just because they're not villains and working toward the end of the world doesn't make them innocent. No one… is innocent. Plus, they decided to risk their lives when they joined the Hunter profession. And some of them don't have any family who'll miss them."
Both Jaune and Pyrrha were looking more horrified the more she spoke but this was something that they needed to take about.
"Raven. I'm not going to going to send those girls to wherever the Company sends them." Jaune said.
"You had no problem selling Vernal to the 'Company'." She pointed out. And yes, she was still a bit raw about that. Vernal might not have been family but she was her closest subordinate. And she didn't like the fact that Jaune sold her to the Company just like that.
She didn't blame Jaune for it. Being a bandit means that you could die any day. But she still wasn't happy about this.
"Vernal was a bandit." Jaune pointed out.
"So was I." She replied before she realized that arguing with him won't work. She took a deep breath to calm herself and attacked this problem from a different position. "Look… you said that we're a family, right?"
He nodded.
"So. As a family. We should…" she pointed at the entire table "We all should have a say in this. Especially when our own lives are in the line as well."
"What are you suggesting?" Jaune asked, not liking where this was going.
"I suggest that we put this up for a vote." She said.
"A vote?"
"Yes." She nodded "All of us get a vote. While you get two because you're the head of this family. And then we vote upon whether we to sell those bounties or not."
Jaune took a deep breath. She didn't like the betrayed look he was giving her. But she could take his anger if it meant gaining immortality.
After all, being an immortal would give her a lot of time to make it up to him. And he can't remain angry with her forever.
"I don't like this." Jaune said as he tapped on the table. "But… I accept your suggestion. We'll hold this up for a vote."
"Jaune?" Pyrrha asked, looking a bit sad and disappointed at his choice.
"Sorry, Pyrrha. But she's right. I should not make the decisions regarding the catalog all on my own." He said "Not when those decisions will affect all of you. And not when I might be wrong in some of those decisions."
She shook his head.
He shouldn't be explaining himself to his subordinates, or wives in this case.
She'll have to find some way to talk with him at a later date and teach him how to lead people.
Soon enough, Pyrrha and Jaune's argument came to a stop and he looked at them.
"Very well." He said "All of you who are in favor of capturing the bounties in the Catalog and selling them to company. Raise your hand."
She and Neo instantly raised their hands.
The Malachite twins looked uncertain about the whole thing but after debating it among themselves, they turned and gave Pyrrha an apologetic look.
"Sorry, Pyrrha." They said and raise their hands as well.
The only ones who didn't raise their hands were Pyrrha and Jaune.
With Jaune's two votes and Pyrrha's one, they had three votes. While her, Neo the Malachite Twins had four votes.
They won by a vote.
Jaune didn't look happy with this but sooner or later, he must understand that Morality will only serve to drag him down.
"Very well." Jaune said "We'll sell the bounties. But I'll be the one to do it. And we'll go over each Bounty one by one to make sure that we only sell people whose absence won't harm others."
"That's acceptable." She said.
It was not.
She would rather simply select all the bounties and sell them to the company for more points but she doing that would earn her Jaune's ire.
And if he became too angry with her then he might even sell her or use one of the options that'll allow him to give her 'Commands', taking away her free will.
But that was fine.
The fact that he was willing to bend this much for them already said a great many things about him. Good things.
She focused back on the food wonder what Mission he'll give them the next time.
