MELANIE MALACHITE POV

"That's… a large herd of Grimm."

"It is. And you, Miltia and Neo will not be fighting them head on." Jaune said, his voice sounding a bit robotic in his Mecha form "You three will play as support while me, Raven and Pyrrha will fight them head on."

"Why don't you turn in your Dragon form?" she asked. "I mean, you would probably be able to take care of all those Goliaths on your own. Especially if you use your lightning."

Miltia hit her in the head.

"Ow. What was that for?" she asked.

"That was for being foolish and not using your head." Miltia said "Jaune couldn't use his Dragon form because if anyone saw him then that would create even more problems for us."

She looked around "I don't think there's anyone near us. Especially because it's so late at night. Even hunters don't roam around in the Grimm territory willy-nilly at night."

"Perhaps." Jaune nodded "But my Dragon form is large. And once I start to fly, people will be able to see me from miles away. And that's when I'm not using my Lightning powers. Miltia is right. I won't be using my Dragon form this time."

"Oh… okay." She said, a little disappointed that she won't be able to see an epic Dragon vs Grimm horde fight.

"How do you want us to do this Jaune?" Pyrrha asked.

Jaune stared at the Grimm horde and sighed "I would've liked to scatter them and then take them out one by one but they're Grimm not animals so it's unlikely that such a thing would happen. So here's the plan. How many of you are familiar with the term Kiting."

Turns out that none of them knew what it was. And they soon found out why. She, her sister, and Neo were all orphans with a rough childhood, where a piece of bread was a luxury so playing scroll games was not an option. Pyrrha trained too much and couldn't afford the distraction by playing games and Raven was raised in a bandit tribe. Enough said.

Ultimately, Jaune told them what Kiting was and how they'll use that strategy to thin out the herd a little by little until their numbers have been reduced to the point that they could be attacked and killed in a full sweep.

Basically, Jaune and Raven will be at the front, gaining the Grimm's attention and making the Grimm chase after them. They attack any Grimm that gets ahead of the herd and kill that Grimm in a single attack before they continue luring the other Grimm behind them in a large circle.

While they're doing that, Pyrrha will float behind the herd on her Surfer and sweep down every now and then to take out any stragglers being left behind.

As for the three of them, since she had her rifle and Miltia had her Railgun, they'll use those ranged weapons to take potshots at the Grimm herd from a distance, either killing them with headshots or softening them up for the melee fighters.

As for Neo, she'll be in charge of protecting if any of the Goliaths decided to separate from the herd to come after them.

The plan was a good one. The Goliath herd was in sight and it was finally time to begin.

JAUNE ARC POV

By the end of the hour, it became clear to him that he had overestimated the Goliath herd and had underestimated the power of his own companions.

By this point in time, the twins, who were the weakest in their group, had been drinking the Dragon blood for quite a while which meant that even with their lack of experience, they were at least just as dangerous if not more so than Professor Glynda Goodwitch.

And those two were the weakest in his team.

Pyrrha was undoubtedly at the top of the 6th tier and in his Mecha form, he was just as dangerous as her. Not to mention Raven who was a 7th tier and could easily beat both of them on her own.

The Goliaths and even the Megoliths never stood a chance.

So in the aftermath of the battle, he and his team sat in a circle, eating his homemade snacks and having a bonding experience after such a large battle.

And he wondered if maybe fighting the Wyvern Grimm wasn't going to be as hard as he was making it out to be.

No. It's better to be over prepared and not need it than to be under prepared and suffer the consequence.

"Miltia… we're really strong aren't we? That Grimm horde never stood a chance against us." Melanie said in a cheerful mood as she tried to steal Miltia's snacks, not noticing her own being stolen by Neo.

"Yes, Melanie. We're strong." Miltia said before turning to look at him "But I still thought that fighting a Goliath horde would be harder than this. Especially with how much preparations you made to fight them"

Raven scoffed, not saying anything but he could definitely feel the pride she was feeling through the shroud.

He shrugged "I've only fought the Goliaths once before this. And that one was small. I thought that the larger and older ones would be… better than this."

But even as he said that he had a niggling feeling in the back of his mind that it wasn't the Goliath horde that was weak but his own companions who were just that strong.

"Anyway. Pyrrha and I need to go back before our Good Professor realize that we're missing." He said and then paused "But before I leave, I have another mission for you girls."

"What is it?" Melanie asked, looking curious.

"It's simple really. Find more Grimm hordes like this and exterminate them. Basically, I want you to kill the Dangerous Grimm around Beacon so that when the time comes, the Hunters and Hunter-in-training won't be overwhelmed."

"Sounds easy enough," Miltia said.

"Perhaps. But I still want you girls to be careful so move in pairs. You might think that you're strong enough to take on any Grimm on your own, which you are, but that's no excuse to tempt fate. Is that understandable."

"Yes Sir!" Melanie said and Neo gave him a salute.

"Good. Raven, if you'll please."

Raven nodded and created a portal on the roof of the building their team was sleeping in.

He checked with his Psychic power and realized that his teammates were still asleep and there was no Grimm in sight. So…

He turned and pulled Pyrrha in his arms.

"You know. I think we still have some time before the next shift."

"Do we?" Pyrrha asked but he could already feel her breath getting heavy as she grinds her hips against his cock.

"Yes, we do." He said and kissed her.
