JAUNE ARC POV

It's been three days since the start of this mission. Three days since they arrived on Mountain Glenn. Three days of exterminating any Grimm on sight.

Three days of him discreetly searching for any signs of White Fang activity in the area.

Three days of finding nothing.

"Still nothing?" Pyrrha asked as he flared his Psychic power to look for any mind in a 50-meter radius around him.

Even if the Faunus were hiding underground, he would be able to find them with this power.

Alas, it seems he was out of luck.

"I don't think there are any White Fang on Mountain Glenn in the first place." He said, keeping his voice low despite the fact that his other teammates and the Professor were at a distance. "If they were here and I would've found them by now."

"Maybe they changed their plans?" Pyrrha asked and he nodded.

"That does seem to be the case. It is even possible that they might have canceled their plans altogether, though I wouldn't bet on it." He said "I'm just worried about what they'll do now that they've changed that plan."

As soon as he said that, he saw smoke starting to rise in the distance.

Pyrrha noticed where he was looking and her eyes narrowed "That's… coming from Vale."

At that moment, more smoke trails started to rise from a few different places.

He quickly jumped on a nearby building and used its windows to climb the walls until he was standing on its roof.

Pyrrha arrived a moment later and both of them witnessed multiple areas of Vale on fire.

"That doesn't look good." Pyrrha said and even as she did, a few more explosions took place in the distance, causing more smoke to rise in the air.

He sighed "At least we now know the White Fang's plan."

Then another explosion, this one larger than the rest took place and his fists clenched.

"Isn't that… the Beacon tower?" Pyrrha asked, her tone serious.

"Yes." He said "Though I don't think that whoever bombed the area wanted the tower to fall."

He then looked at this scroll and noticed that there was no connection in it.

"The CCT system of Vale is down."

RUBY ROSE POV

"Who could've done this?" she asked as she helped Weiss and Pyrrha push up a heavy stone to the side of the road, allowing the ambulance to pass.

Professor Goodwitch had already left for Beacon in order to help the Headmaster take control of the situation while Jaune had gone off to the nearest hospital to help the injured people with his Semblance.

"Isn't it clear who did this?" Weiss said and she flinched at the sheer venom in Weiss' voice "Who do you think has been stealing the Dust from these stores for the past few months?"

"Weiss." Pyrrha said as she put a hand on Weiss' trembling shoulders "I understand that you're angry. But you shouldn't take it out on Ruby."

Weiss looked like she would about to say something but then she paused as she saw something in the distance.

She turned to see what Weiss was looking at and saw some of the citizens of Vale ganging upon a young Faunus couple.

The violence hasn't started yet but she could see that it was only a matter of time.

And with how busy the police officers were everywhere else, it was unlikely the Faunus couple will get any help any time soon.

"We should help them." She said as she started moving toward them only to be stopped by Weiss.

"Ruby, have you forgotten who started this whole mess started in the first?" Weiss asked. "This White Fang. And those two could be associated with them for all we know."

"We don't know that Weiss." She said, trying to move past Weiss who kept on getting in her way. "Move aside Weiss."

"I'm not going to let you aid those Faunus scum!" Weiss said, almost screaming in the end and she froze for a moment before she glared at Weiss.

Before she could use her Semblance to go past Weiss, Pyrrha stepped in between them.

"Let her go Weiss." Pyrrha said.

"But… what if—"

"It is possible that those two could be associated by the White Fang." Pyrrha nodded "But if they aren't then we would be allowing a mob to lynch two innocent people And as Hunters it is our job to protect humanity."

Weiss clenched her fists and for a moment it looked like Weiss was going to fight Pyrrha but in the end, she turned around and left.

"Weiss, where are you going?" she asked.

"Somewhere away from all this madness!" Weiss replied before she left the area.

She looked at Pyrrha who nodded at her "Let's help those two Faunus Ruby."
