JAUNE ARC POV

"Jaune. You're staring at it again." Ruby said as she groaned and hid her face under the pillow.

"Sorry." He said and felt movement in his left.

He turned his head and saw Pyrrha looking at him with bleary eyes.

"You okay Jaune?" she asked and he felt his heart fill with warmth at her caring and selfless nature.

"Yeah. Just…"

"Just staring at your scroll for the thousandth time today?" Pyrrha said but the smile on her face took away from the sting of her words.

"Yeah." He said, not knowing what else to say at this point.

She moved and climbed over his chest, her green eyes staring deeply into his own with concern.

He felt his member stir in his pants at the feeling of her naked breasts brushing against his chest.

"You know that you can tell me anything, Jaune?" She asked.

He took a deep breath and sighed.

"I was just…" He paused.

"You were just?"

"I… promised to help the people of Remnant."

"You did." She nodded "And you and all of us have done a good job of helping as much as possible."

"It's not enough." He said "Vale and Minstral will take decades to heal and even then they'll not get back to their prime for even decades to come. And while the City of Atlas is still standing on its feet, the rest of the Kingdom has been all but wiped out. As for Vacuo… it might never recover."

"Perhaps. But where are you going with this Jaune?" She asked.

He thought about it for a moment before he replied "What I'm saying is that, even if we worked for a few centuries, we'll not be able to make up for the mistakes we've made."

SLAP!!

He held his cheek and gave a confused look to the girl who was now glaring at him.

"You did not make a mistake Jaune. You had a choice. You could've either waited for Salem to make her move or you could've taken the fight to her. And you did what you thought was the best for the people of Remnant." Pyrrha said "The Reckoning Day? It's not on you. No one. And I mean no one, could've predicted that Salem would do what she did when pushed into a corner. You did not kill these people Jaune. I know you feel like you did but you didn't. No one blames you Jaune. And while the people of Remnant have indeed suffered, without any Grimm trying to kill them, once the situation stabilizes a bit, they'll be able to grow once again. So don't think for a second that what you did was wrong. Please."

He looked at her intense eyes and they stared at each other for a long while before he finally nodded.

"It's not as easy as you Pyrrha." He said "I can't just forget all that I've seen. I can't just… stop blaming myself for the things that have happened. But I'll try. For you, if not for myself."

He leaned down and captured her lips in a gentle kiss.

They separated and she looked toward the hand which held his scroll.

"So. You want to talk about why you keep staring at your Scroll now?"

Might as well.

"I was thinking about going to the next world."

"So soon?"

"Well… not just yet. I plan to help the city for one year more at the very least." He said "If I go now then it'll feel like I'm running away from my responsibilities. But… I was just looking over at the options that I have."

"Oh. Have you decided on something?" She asked.

"Yeah. I'll need to buy 'We Will Meet Again' if I want to return to Remnant. As well as 'Pursued by a Bear' and 'The Bigger Fish' if I want to have more options in the number of worlds I can choose from."

"I think you told me about them. Buying both will allow you to have access to 4 worlds right?"

"7 worlds." He corrected.

"But they'll all be random?"

"Yes."

"Have you bought them already?" She asked and he shook his head.

"Well, if you're going to buy them regardless then you might as well buy them now." She said.

He thought about it for a moment before he shrugged.

Fuck it.

We Will Meet Again Purchased for 15 Points.

Pursued by a Bear Purchased for 10 Points.

The Bigger Fish Purchased for 30 Points.

Total points left- 75 points.

"Now what Jaune?" Pyrrha asked "Anything else you want to buy?"

"Indeed. There are a lot of things that I want to buy. Dragon Blood is the most important one. Buying it would remove the tier constraint from my blood and allow my blood to give a boost to my 7th tier women as well." He said "But… 'Dragon Blood' option costs 200 points. So I cannot buy it right now."

"Then what?" She asked.

He scrolled through his device for a few moments before it to her.

"Here."

Pyrrha looked at the image on the screen and gave him a confused glance.

"This is a woman Jaune." She said.

"She is."

"You want to buy her?" She asked.

"I do." He replied.

Buying a girl like this was… a strange experience for him. Mostly because he had never done such a thing before.

But this girl… was important.

"Why?" Pyrrha asked.

But he could sense that she was not worried or jealous about the idea of him adding another woman to his harem.

"Because buying her will grant us access to Mako Springs in the Workshop."

"And… why are these Mako springs so important?"

"Because they'll give us Magic."

"Salem can give us magic." Pyrrha pointed out.

"True. But if she did that, then just like Ozpin, she'll lose her magic as well. And I'm not willing to do that to someone." He sighed "Even if it's her."

"I see." She nodded "When are you going to buy her?"

"Soon enough."
