A few days had passed. The class had begun to train their Quirks as if they are preparing for the fight of their lives, some pushing themselves to exhaustion. It was the ending of a day of rigorous training, barely attending classes as all the teachers hold the same feeling of importance for the festival, being one of the only times in the year where the body is more important than the mind.
School had finished for the day, but not for Victoria who had in no means been fazed by the training. She had been scouting out a good place to build her hideout, a place to call her own without the petty rules of society, and she had found one. It was a relatively warn out warehouse that was about a 20-minute walk from where she found Nima on that faithful day.
A/N: a good song I'm listening to as I'm writing this
She slowly walked into the warehouse that maybe had another decade before it would crumble from the weathering. But she was fascinated by a window that was high up on the wall, beaming a relatively small but still beautifully pleasing as it gave a lighter feeling to an otherwise drowsy area.
"My queen, what could you possibly want with a place like this?" Nima asks as Erebus also stands beside her, quite as usual unless addressed.
"Man built all they have now from nature, only for nature to run its course without there illusion of control. Nature always takes back what is hers. For lifeforms such as us, it's death, for places such as these, rust" Victoria says as she runs her hand across a dusty table, only to raise her hand to see it blackened.
"Even we may wither and die one day, no matter how much we seem to be better, we still rely on them. Nature has a cruel yet amusing way of biting us all in the ass" Victoria says with a chuckle as she continues to slowly walk to the other end of the warehouse, kicking down a rusted over door that leads down to a basement-like area similar to what she first found Nima in.
Nima follows her Master down with Erebus not far behind, walking down into the darkness, but not for long as Victoria illuminates the room with her left hand emitting a bright red light from her Hamon. But something breaks Victoria's attention from just curiously looking around, a faint and soft heartbeat coming from under what looked to be a blanket.
Victoria kneels down, putting her hand on the blanket which a stench seems to be emanating from, taking a moment from what seemed to be hesitation. Victoria eventually pulls the blanket back, finding a dead and decrepit woman but a healthy what looked to be baby boy, sleeping without a worry in the world.
"What the hell?" Nima says as Erebus shuffles closer, sniffing the strange occurrence akin to a pet.
"His Quirk must have activated," Victoria says as she goes to put her hand on the babies forehead, but is stopped by a curious case, her fingertip withering to the appearance of a body in the advanced process of decomposition.
"Ah, I see now," Victoria says as a smile plants itself on her face, examining her finger which quickly regenerates back to normal.
"Its Quirk can rot anything it touches?" Nima says.
"Yes...in a matter of speaking. He is able to draw energy from a victim, almost exactly how we do it when we feed, but much faster, and just with a touch. Unfortunately, the first demonstration was on his unsuspecting mother" Victoria says, picking up the baby boy, but not being affected by his Quirk like she just was.
Victoria examined the baby boy with hair length, tooth development, bone strength, she deducted he was around a year old, a toddler.
"Please don't tell me your planning on keeping it?" Nima says.
"Did I now show you the same acceptance? You may speak, but take that tone with me again and I may not be so lenient. A child like this being raised in society would only bring him to eventually being on the path of a villain" Victoria says with a stern voice.
Erebus raises his hulking arm, bringing his clawed hand slowly towards the child, not with hostility, but curiosity. It is then the child wakes and begins giggling, grabbing the massive clawed finger of the monster and making a portion of his arm to darken as though it's in the beginning stages of rotting, but it doesn't go beyond that point, more than likely due to Erebus's now otherworldly regenerative power.
"Note, he's a fan of monsters," Victoria says with a chuckle.
A/N: I want your guy's thoughts on this, I was thinking if you lot don't approve of her basically having a kid, then a vigilante group similar to that of the vigilante's manga would offer to take him. Please post your comments and thanks for reading.
