Chapter 3- Satou Family 1

In the dinner table, me and Kanna are currently eating.

"Kanna-chan, have you heard about the town that was said to be attacked by dragons?"

"Onii-chan doesn't know about Axel town? I read about it when I was bored."

Kanna explained, "It is said that the town was being attacked by dragons. Because of that, the Satou Family, one of the 4 Great Families, decided to use Excalibur Modified. But no one can wield it."

"Excalibur Modifed?"

[God created that weapon himself. He used Excalibur as a base and modified it. He added 7 modes and you can only unlock them by continuously evolving it. As for the reason why no one can wield it, it is created for the owner of the 51st Card.]

I sighed and continued to eat with Kanna.

Next day, after taking the 5 hours trip to Axel town, we arrived at last!

I entered the town and was greeted by the sight of people trying to pull Excalibur Modified out of a stone, is this how people watching King Arthur pull Excalibur out feel?

I shook my head and waited for people to finish their turns while holding Kanna's hand.

I went in front of the stone with Kanna nearby. I held out my hand and the sword started glowing. I closed my eyes and focused myself on finishing a soul contract with the sword.

*I've been waiting…. Human*

I opened my eyes and there, I hold the handle of the sword. I quickly pull it out and took it for a few swings.

"Excuse me, what's your name?"

A man with slight messy chestnut colored hair and green eyes asked. He's currently wearing a nice set of clothes which I can't explain.

"Theo, and over there is my little sister Kanna Kamui," I answered.

"Satou Kazuma, the head of the Satou family, can I invite you to have lunch in my house?"

Satou Kazuma…. He's a head of a great family… he's not pathetic anymore….

"I would gladly agree then."

"Follow me," he said after nodding.

In a long dinner table, there are currently five people sitting and talking while waiting for their food.

"So Theo is from 'his' city… Nevermind, anyway, why don't I introduce you to some of my wives?"

I accidentally drop the cup I was holding.

"Wives?"

"Ah yeah, I have my first wife here, her name is Megumin."

"My name is Megumin! My calling is that of an arch-wizard, one who controls explosion magic, the strongest offensive magic! Now, would you like to walk the path of explosions with me?" Kazuma sighed and I smiled.

"No…"

"Ack! Alright then…"

Kazuma cleared his throat and said, "My next wife is Darkness a.k.a Dustiness Ford Lalatina, she's a bit of an M so yeah, I am sorry for the future complications." Kazuma whispered the last one and I nodded.

Darkness nodded and smiled.

"The others are out so let's talk about business."

Kazuma became serious.

"Excalibur Modified is a weapon owned by the 4 Great Family, specifically, our family. I am not willing to hand it over to you, however, what you did is not a simple thing, you created a soul contract and the sword willingly accepted. I can't take it back so I want to propose a deal," he explained.

"And what is that deal?"

Then, the food appeared and we decided to talk after eating…

"So, how about I become one of your supporters?"

"Supporter? Like a fan or something?"

"No no, in this world, having a supporter is like having a company to back you up. One can have multiple supporters. Having supporters can have benefits, as supporters are there to give you what you need and in return, you need to help those supporters," Kazuma explained.

"Hmmm, I don't see any reason why not but let me ask a different question, why do you want to be my supporter?"

He looked at Megumin and Darkness and they both nodded.

"That is because behind this peaceful town, lies a hidden war. The Holy Sword chose you, and so I also chose you. I chose you to help me find a solution in this problem," he sighed and continued.

"It's been decades since the massive attack of the dragons. I remember very well how my father used to tell me the story. The Dragons planned on conquering the human world, to show us who are mightier. But one thing caught my attention, which is…. The Dragon King."

"The Dragon King was present on the last war but right now, he wasn't. Based on our investigation, the dragons have no Dragon King backing them up. Now that's pretty suspicious since dragon armies can only be formed when someone with an intellect of a Dragon King rules the dragons."

"So you're saying that there was no dragon king and someone else is controlling the dragon?" I asked.

"No, someone else with the ability of a dragon king is controlling the dragons. I want you to investigate this matter and as your supporter, I will provide you your needs."

I nodded.

"Then, I'll be in your care then."

"Yeah, you will."
