Chapter 4- Satou Family 2

After looking around the town, me and Kanna were tired and the sun was going down.

I decided to stay at the guest room with Kanna to rest. To be honest, seeing a loli sleep in the same bed as me felt kind of natural, probably the training I got from sleeping with children in the orphanage.

As Kanna was sleeping, I patted her head and decided to open the door to the balcony and put my arms on top of the railing.

'Hey, about the first card I got, the wish granter, why does it require a trade of the most valuable thing I have? It should've been called Trade card or something.'

I reprimanded her, "No sweets until you eat breakfast, Kanna-chan. It's bad for the health."

I sighed in defeat and said, "Fine, I'll give you one lollipop, that's all. I'll give you more after breakfast, okay?"

She nodded excitedly and I gave her a green apple flavored lollipop.

Kazuma answered some of my questions regarding the dragons. After that, I started travelling towards the place dragons were living. It was one of the heavenly spots/places, the Paradise of Dragons. It was not because of the beauty of the place that it is called paradise, but it is because dragons were abundant in that place and they never seem to go extinct no matter how many dragons were killed.

The place was a forest with a few trees. It was located outside the town so if anyone wants to resort to the 'nuke the shit out of this place' option, they will be safe from repercussions.

I entered the forest and just walked around to see anything suspicious things. And it was very obvious… there were no dragons. No dragons, but this is where they live?

That may be the questions people will come up with if they saw this sad sight, but it actually makes sense. Dragons are prideful beings but even God can be controlled through means of power, blackmail, or simple tricks.

"So it's either blackmail or power."
