What's Going On With Us?

I did way more than just Makato last night. And I felt absolutely guilty about it. I sat on the couch downstairs, legs crossed, blanket over my head, sipping my coffee. I could hear ghost cackling in my head.

"Shut it," I ordered. "Weren't you asleep?"

"I woke up," he replied. "Oh, you're in big trouble, Mister."

"How do you want your eggs, Daiki?," Cora asked. Her and her assistants, Tadashi and Asahi, were making breakfast.

"Scrambled," I said.

"Okay, nope," I heard Cora drop everything in her hands and stomp over. She bent down in front of me. "What's wrong? You always ask for sunny side up. When you ask for scrambled eggs somethings always going on in your head."

I figured I could trust Cora since she was one of my best friends. I stuck out my neck.

"Oh, shoot...," she paused but then continued. "Was it Hijiri? Akio? Akito?!"

"No, ." I grumbled.

"Then who was it and do you him?," Cora asked.

"It was...Makato," I whispered. "And yes."

"Dang, you gotta tell Nori about this," Cora told me.

"That's what I'm stressed out about,"I told her. " How do I tell Nori?"

"Just be honest. If you tell her the truth she'll understand,"Cora assured.

"If you say so," I smiled. "So, can I change my order?"

"Too late, Romeo," Cora walked over to the kitchen, came back, and handed me my plate as she started passing out the others. "It's already been said."

Today was Saturday. Before Yuu came out as a Villain he would always make us Omurice for breakfast. A knot formed in my throat. Tears formed in my eyes, I began to sob. Everyone else knew why and some of the others joined me.

"I tried to make it the way he always would," Tadashi sniffled. "But, he had his own recipe he never shared with anyone. I miss him."

I took a bit out of the food. It was good. But, it didn't taste nearly the same as Yuu's.

"Don't you guys think it's a bit weird that the League or Yuu hasn't made any attacks or attempted any? ," I mentioned. "If one of them really wanted my quirk I would be dead by now."

"Yuu isn't someone to rush an attack," Sachi said. "He likes to plan ahead of time so everything goes the way he wants."

Hijiri stood up.

"The next time I see his face he won't have one," Hijiri growled as he started to walk away, but he stopped when Kiyoe slammed the front dorm doors open. "Guys...it snowed last night!"

"Snow!," Asahi shouted in glee as he ran outside.

I stood up and stumbled after him. "H-Hey! Don't go out without a coat you'll get a cold!"

Too late. Everyone was already outside. I was about to join in on the fun when I saw Makato looking at me. He motioned me to come over. My chest jumped a bit. I walked over and hugged my arms to my chest. I didn't look him in the eyes. I felt my face turning a bright red.

"So...what's gonna happen with us?," he asked. "You know, after last night."

"I have to talk to Nori, and that's because I meant it when I said I loved you. So let's just play it cool until the sun goes down, okay?," I replied.

Makato nodded. I totally was not ready for after the sun goes down.

[Many Hours Later]

I knocked on Nori's room door. My heart was beating extremely fast. She opened the door. And studied my face.

"You look like you're gonna be sick," Nori said.

"C-Can I come in?," I stuttered. "I need to talk to you about something."

"Is it so bad that it has your nerves trembling?," she laughed. But then her smile faded when she saw that my expression didn't change. "Come inside."

I made my way inside and sat on Nori's bed as she closed the door behind her. She sat next to me.

"So, what is it?," She asked.

I gripped the bed sheets. "I uhm...did something last night."

"W-Was it bad?"

I gave a fake smile. "It's illegal in seventy four different countries-back to the point. I don't know if you would consider it bad or not." I paused while I was talking.

Nori looked me in the eyes. "You can tell me."

I started to scratch at my fingertips. "I-I U-Uhm... I kissed someone! And I-I love them."

Nori was quiet for a long time. "Oh,"she finally uttered. "W-Who?"

"Makato," I told her.

"A boy...I get it. Of course," Nori said. "You like guys."

"Guys. Yeah."

"So, I'm guessing you're not really into girls."

I swallowed. "Yeah-don't get me wrong I love you, Nori. I really do. It just doesn't seem right to me."

Nori took out her phone.

"What are you doing?," I asked.

"I need to tell my dad that he's not getting grandchildren by you," She told me.

We stared at each other for a while and then broke out laughing.

"Friends for now?" Nori held out her hand.

I smiled and shook it. "Friends. Oh, and now that I think about it, us dating is kind of weird since I am a successor of one for all and so is was your dad. Makes us relat-."

"Please, don't mention that ever again," she cut me off. "Now go to your boyfriend."

I nodded and left the room. I couldn't believe this was actually happening. I was so happy that I even did a little dance. I guess I was making to much noise because Hijiri had enough energy to come out of his room.

"SH-SHu-Ah- AHchoo," he sneezed...his sneeze was the most innocent thing I have heard in my life.

"Oh. My. Gosh," Kiyoe peeked her head out of his room. "Did you just sneeze!?"

"WHY ARE YOU EVEN IN MY ROOM?," Hijiri yelled.

"When I asked if I could hang out in here you just grumbled something and went back to reading. You've got good taste in romance," Kiyoe said.

"Oh, romance, is that so~?," I asked in a teasing voice.

"None of your business," Hijiri slammed his door shut.

If he wasn't yelling that means he had a cold. I walked to Makato's door and before I could knock on it Ghost popped up in my head.

"I've met you only two days ago and now I gotta see this happen again," Ghost complained. "Why must you torture me like this!"

I grinned. "Serves you right. Also, you can call me Daiki. I don't mind us being friends, as long as, you know, you don't betray me. You don't just have to be my other side in battle."

Ghost was quiet. But then I heard him scoff. "You sounded as if you were just confessing your love to me. We can stay Neutral, Nakamura. I already told you, I'm not like any of them. But, I'm not interested in making friends.

"So then why are you helping me?,"I asked.

"I can't stand and watch while my quirk is being handled people unworthy like you. Especially you and your father. When this is all over, I'll make my way out of your head and take it back. The world isn't ready for such power."

" It isn't," I agreed. "That's why I won't bother to stop you.

I didn't here another word from him.

After maybe a billion pounds at the door I decided to open it myself. The lights were off. When I turned them on I saw a sleeping Makato. He lied on his stomach, one arm hanging from the bed. I looked at his face. I'd never seen his eyes closed before. And I don't think I've seen him smile either. It spread a warm feeling in my heart.

Suddenly I heard a knock at the door. It was Cora, leaning on the door frame.

"Dude, it's like eleven in the morning. Go to sleep," she said. "How's it going?"

I smiled. "I think it's gonna be alright."

"Glad you finally got a boyfriend now go to bed."She came over, lifted my arm, and dragged me.

Before I left I took one last look at Makato, turned off the light, closed the door, and then headed for bed.
