Derick hadn't realized it before, but the reason his body had gotten lighter was that when he cut himself his utility bag fell off.


His luck was that the wolf was a little dizzy, apparently the tree he had destroyed had opened a wound on his leg.

Being that by the sixteenth stab the wolf had already died, but even with it dead Derick continued to attack, so as not to have any unforeseen events.


A few seconds passed and finally Derick managed to get loose.


He went all the way back and found his utility bag. He quickly healed himself and went to get the wolf Nucleus.


After this he took his knife and with a little difficulty took out the wolf Nucleus. Unlike the fox's Nucleus, the wolf's Nucleus was larger and brighter.


"Boy, I didn't expect you to come back alive" The guard at the gate spoke up.


To Derick's surprise it was the same guard as earlier.


"The guard looked at Derick and saw that he was all bloodied, his waist had some bandages on it, he was walking with a limp. If you looked closely at Derick's neck there were small teeth marks.


"Really," Derick agreed, "Sir, I'm new here. Could you tell me where the hotel is?"


The guard said that there was an old hotel at the beginning of town, he said that there might be vacancies there. The quality of the hotel was not the best, but it was better than sleeping on the street.


He had a few more things to take care of, but as expected he was too tired to do anything else. So, he went to the hotel, which cost 50 copper coins, and slept.
