Good Luck!

After a long rest Derick woke up.

First, he went to breakfast.

The hotel restaurant was practically empty, there was only Derick and some employees talking.

Normally at this time this place was supposed to be full, if this was the center of the city, here would be full of people talking about their daily problems, while they ate, others would be laughing and drinking in the morning, while some were just having breakfast to go to work.

But it's different here, most of the residents at the city gates are soldiers, here they rest during the day and fight all night long.

Derick chose a table that was near the exit and sat down. One of the employees who were chatting saw that a customer had arrived and approached him.

"Can I take your order?" The waiter politely asked.

"Yes..." Derick ordered a coffee with milk and scrambled eggs.

After a few minutes the order arrived.

"Here is your order!" The waiter arrived with the plate and then left.

During breakfast Derick heard some noises outside, they were not very loud, most likely the soldiers.

"Nothing better than a good cup of coffee to start the day off right" Derick had finished eating, after that he paid the bill and left.

The first thing Derick did as he left the Hotel, was to look up at the sky. The sky was beautiful, it was a sunny day and apparently it wasn't going to rain today.

"To think that to have people at this moment living quietly without ever having met a monster in their lives, there were several other people sacrificing themselves to maintain this lifestyle" Derick thought and saw that if he hadn't become an adventurer, he would be one of those people.

Although he didn't join the army for personal reasons, Derick admired those people who sacrificed their lives for the safety of the city's residents.

"Well, what the hell, everyone has a different purpose in this life" Derick sighed and left the hotel to settle his things.

First, he went to the evaluator, to evaluate the wolf's nucleus.

At the restaurant Derick asked the waiter where the appraiser's store was, so it wasn't too hard to find and it also wasn't too long to get there, since the store was very close to the Hotel.

When we got there, it was a very simple store, just like all the other buildings in town. It had two floors and a sign indicating what the store was about.

Derick entered, there was only one person in the store. It was an old man; he was wearing a pair of glasses and his hair was white.

On his right side was a pile of small items, most of them being nucleus.

And on his left side were monster bodies and related items.

All these items were government items, they were used to make skill books and magic artifacts. Because the soldiers could not sell the items of the monsters they killed, but in compensation they earned a fixed salary + bonus per monster killed.

"Excuse me." Derick called out to the appraiser.

The appraiser who was appraising the item, placed it on the stand and looked at Derick.

"Go ahead."

"Then..." Derick picked up the core.

Since he was going to spend the whole day evaluating the items, he didn't mind evaluating Derick's item first.

___

Name: Nucleus of life

Rank: E

Quality: Good

Description: ...

___

"Good" Derick muttered, he felt he was slightly rewarded for that hard fight.

Every appraisal has a fee, the fee is calculated on 5% of the total value of the item. For example, in this case this nucleus is worth 10 gold coins, so Derick will have to pay 5 silver coins;

Besides being an appraisal store, here you could also buy and sell items. So, Derick took advantage and sold his items and he also replenished his stock.

With the cores he sold, he got 12 gold coins and 30 silver coins. As he bought 2 small bombs and some arrows. He was left with 11 gold coins.

Before leaving town again, Derick had one more thing to do.
