Never good enough

"Do you think she's going to let us in"

Daniel asked

"God no, Have you never seen Beth angry"

Nathaniel questioned

"Yes but never this angry"

"Come on, I'll get Elizabeth to pick us up"

Nathaniel called Elizabeth, while Daniel started to pick up all the stuff Beth had thrown out. Once Elizabeth arrived they started to pack all the stuff in her car. Nathaniel was going to sweep through the front garden when he saw the picture, smashed.

"Hey Elizabeth do you have a lighter"

He screamed

"Yeah"

Elizabeth threw him a lighter, that's when Nathaniel lit the picture on fire, then he threw the burning picture in the pond. He sprinted to the car and Elizabeth raced off.

"Why did you need a lighter?"

She wondered

"I needed a quick smoke"

He thought up

"So why did you decided to come with me, with your roommate"

Nathaniel and Daniel looked at eachother

"Oh by the way I'm Alexander"

Daniel introduced himself. Elizabeth rolled her eyes.

"So Charles, why did you decided"

"Well I was on the fence and then I thought why not, I was telling Alexander about it and he said he wanted to come"

"But I didn't invite him"

Elizabeth whispered over to Nathaniel

"I'm sorry, he wanted to come. You never said I couldn't bring anyone"

"Well I didn't think you would bring your friend, especially not Auroras best friend"

"And, just because he's Aurora's best friend doesn't mean anything. Plus he happens to be very close to me"

"You're lucky that the hotel room I've booked as two room"

"Why wouldn't you have booked two rooms"

"No reason, it was with the bundle I booked"

They whispered back and forth

"So Elizabeth tell Da Alexander a bit about yourself"

Nathaniel announced

"Ugh I guess, Hi I'm Elizabeth you can call me beth"

Elizabeth

"I'm probably not going to do that"

Daniel whispered

"I love writing, believe it or not. I'm 18 and I was the cheer captain my whole high school life, and now I'm studying to become a fashion designer. Obviously my favourite color is pink and I've got the funniest story so my parents my dad is a lawyer and my mom is a stay at home mom and so when I was five my dad went into work and my mom invited over a man and I didn't have school and so I met him, he's super nice and then they went into my parents room and they started to swear and eventually he went home and I told my dad about the man, funny right. Then when I was 15, he became my boyfriend. He broke up with me two weeks ago, but it's fine because now I've got Charles"

She kissed Nathaniel on the check, before facing back to the road. Daniel got out his phone and quickly texted Nathaniel

'I didn't know you had a girlfriend, congrats'

Nathaniel got the text and immediately replied

'We aren't together, we've just banged one'

Elizabeth leaned over

"Who you texting, baby"

She mumbled

"My parents, they are asking how it is in the US"

"Oh, well I'm sure you told them about me"

"Of course"

"Babe, can you call me love, or l'amour. Excuse my french"

She whined, Daniel burst out laughing but when Nathaniel turned around to look at him he started to cough.

"Why are you laughing Alexander. Charles tell me why he's laughing"

Elizabeth gasped

"I saw a funny meme and texted it to Alexander. That's why he's laughing"

Nathaniel huffed

"So, can you call me love, I want a name that you call me"

Elizabeth pleaded

"Ugh sure, I'll think of one that matches you"

Nathaniel babbled

"So how long till be arrive"

Daniel asked

"Well it's an hour long ride, so thirty more minutes"

"Ok, well turn on the radio"

Daniel instructed and so Nathaniel turned on the radio

"So we have reports that the police have finished their search of the seven teens in New York, they will continue having police there on the lookout. But it's seeming more and more that they were kidnapped, as more of Nathaniel's blood was found, his hair was also found by his blood. Melania's fingernail was also found nearby Nathaniel's blood and hair. The police have been instructed to also look for bodies, the family is also prepared to see their loved ones dead. Alyssa, one of the cops there that night has said that yes they escaped themselves, but shortly after Alyssa saw a van drive by. There are also so many more clues that make the police think, they themselves escaped but then were kidnapped. Nathaniel's face dropped, he wanted to scream but he couldn't. His heart sunk. His breath got faster, his lungs cried for air. But he had to act like nothing was wrong. Daniel tapped him on the shoulder, comforting him.

"If I was that rich I would have never run away. Like yeah my parents have a bit of money but the Becca girl, Beth and Nathaniel were all filthy rich. Honestly why would you want to leave"

Elizabeth commented

"Well you never know what's happening behind the scenes, maybe one of them is getting abused. You don't know, so you can't really comment on that"

Daniel brought in the idea

"I don't think any of them were abused, they had perfect lives. They were so stupid for running away"

Elizabeth added, Nathaniel rolled his eyes and leaned his head on the window. He sat like that until they arrived in New York, as soon as they were checked in to the hotel he went to the room and lay down in his bed. He was sharing a room with Elizabeth but they had to separate beds. He fell asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow.

He woke up but he wasn't in the hotel room, instead he woke up in an apartment Elizabeth was next to him.

"What am I doing here"

He screamed

"What do you mean babe, you're at home"

Elizabeth explained

"What do you mean home"

"Are you silly, we live here. We're married and we have three children."

"No, noo. This can't be happening. This is a nightmare"

Nathaniel screamed out

"Is it now"

Elizabeth asked. Nathaniel heard babies screaming.

"Where's Beth?"

"Whose Beth"

"Where Aurora"

"Oh, you haven't seen her since you left New Hope. She's married now, her husband is loving and perfect. He's giving her everything she ever wanted, they never argue and they agree on everything. She lives in the city and they have four children. He's rich, she doesn't have a job because she takes care of her children. They are so much in love. Just like we are. Their wedding was very simple but they loved it. Her dress was a simple dress that had an A-line. Her ring is a huge diamond. I mean look at her Instagram. Now what has gotten into you?"

"But, Be Aurora hates that, she wants a job, she doesn't want that many children, she doesn't want a huge ring, she doesn't want a simple wedding, she wants a huge dress with layers and pink spots. She hates living in the city she wants to live away from civilization. She doesn't want everything handed to her; she wants to work for it. She would never agree on everything someone says. She wants to work up in her career and be at the top. She wants one child who she can give her attention to. She wants her relationship to not be perfect. She wants to be able to speak her mind and not just sit there. She wants her wedding to be extravagant. A huge dress, huge cake, she wants her ring to be simple. She doesn't want an A-line dress, she wants it to be like she's living in the 1800s, Victorian style. She would never want that"

"Charles she hates that, how would you know you've known her for ten years but you haven't talked to her in nine years clearly you don't know Aurora at all. She's happy as the mayor's wife. What the hell has gotten into you"

"I, no"

"Now stop complaining and get ready, I have a catwalk later today. Aurora is going to be there I think so maybe you can talk to her"

Nathaniel gasped

"What have I done"

He whispered. He shut his eyes and now he was sitting in the front seat in a fashion show, he looked across Beth sat there sitting next to a man. She was smiling and laughing. Her clothes were modest and bland no color. She had her kids surrounding her and she was taking care of all of them. Her hair was short and blond. She seemed happy.

Nathaniel jolted up

"No, no. Beth"

Nathaniel screamed sitting up in bed

"What's wrong Nathaniel"

Beth smiled yawning

"God Beth I thought I lost you"

Nathaniel cried

"You already have Nathaniel"

Beth declared

"What do you mean"

"You've given me nothing, we live alone, I want a nicer life. I thought you were the one but I doubt it. We struggle with money and you can't give me what I want. You never have, ever since we were kids. I can't even believe I chose you over all the other men lining up for me. You're just a selfish, mean, cold hearted man, you can't even give me the child I want, you never give me anything I want. I hate you, I've always have, I just never realized it. You can't even say sorry to me after what you did you fucking coward, you are so scared of everything. You weren't even that good at car racing, the only person who ever said you were good was your grandpa, and look where he ended up. No wonder no teams wanted you if you were that good your criminal record wouldn't even matter, but you are just bad like you are at everything else."

Beth yelled, before storming out of the house and the perfect man stepped out. He kissed her hand and helped her get into the car before racing off. Nathaniel fell to the floor and slowly the house transformed from a beautiful house, to slowly crumbling before falling on Nathaniel. Becca, Quinn, Daniel, Sage and Melania stood around him

"You are a disappointment"

"You can never do anything right"

"Your just pathetic"

"I mean look at him, no wonder. He just looks like a loser"

"We never liked you, we only hung out with you because you were there"

"What can you do, nothing"

"Oh please as if you could ever have Beth she's way to out of your league"

"Yeah we are all out of your league"

"Oh god you are down here and we are up here"

"Honestly just disappear"

They then formed together to make his grandpa

"You were never good at driving. You couldn't even get into a team. You disappointed me and your parents. Just leave"

His grandpa told him

"No, no get out of my head"

Nathaniel yelled still on the floor, tears started to form

"I can't do this anymore"

Nathaniel cried before grabbing a knife and just as the knife touched him, his eyes opened. He was lying in a pool of his own sweat. It was like he had gone swimming.

"Charles whats wrong"

Elizabeth asked

"Nothing I just had a nightmare"

Nathaniel groaned

"I'm going to go over to Da Alexanders room, I need to talk to him about something"

Nathaniel who still was in his clothes from the drive and so he walked next door to Daniel's room. He knocked wildly on Daniels door.

"What do you want it's one in the morning"

Daniel groaned. Nathaniel burst into tears

"I'm not good enough, I'll never be good enough"

He cried before falling into Daniel's arms. Daniel carried Nathaniel onto his bed.

"Are you ok, what's wrong"

Daniel asked

"Am I a nice person or am I even a good person"

"Where is this coming from"

"I just... good night"

And so Nathaniel went to sleep, Daniel laid down next to him and also dozed off.
