It had been 6 days since Beth had woken up. They had caught her up to everything that happened. They were still searching for the perfect cat, because they had found so many ones they like. Beth had ended up hurting herself when trying to move so she had to stay a few days longer and when Nathaniel found out he started dying of laughter. Daniel had been spending most of his time in the hospital talking to Beth, while the others would come occasionally Daniel was there all the time, which looked weird to hospital workers as who they thought was her fiance was never there, he was only there when he needed to sign something which had happened once due to her hurting herself. Sage and Melania had made their relationship official after three dates. Quinn was getting ready to give birth, so she was relaxing, Becca was making sure Quinn would relax while also working and editing on her photos. Finally it was the day that Beth was to be taken out of the hospital, the group decided two people would go: Nathaniel as her fiance' and Daniel. At 10am Nathaniel and Daniel arrived at the hospital, Daniel went straight to Beth while Nathaniel went to the doctor to ask and get everything that they needed to know.

"Finally you guys can take me out of this hell hole, I miss my bed and my room."

Beth complained while Daniel walked into the room

"You're in a bad mood"

"Of course I am. I've been stuck in this room for ages, I just want to leave and be in my room. You would want to leave too"

"Yeah, yeah. I brought you some clothes"

Daniel threw her some clothes

"Why so many clothes?"

"I didn't know what you wanted to wear so I brought more clothes"

"Ok can you leave the room I want to get changed"

"Yeah sure"

Daniel left the room and Beth started to get changed, Nathaniel came rushing down the hall as Daniel was waiting outside for Beth to get changed, Nathaniel started to open the door

"She's getting"

Daniel started but Nathaniel had already opened the door

"Changed"

Daniel sighed

"Let's go I want to go home, Love"

Nathaniel nagged

"I'm getting changed get out"

Beth yelled putting on her shirt

"Well you look dressed to me"

Nathaniel pointed out

"Can I come in"

Daniel yelled from outside the room

"Well Nathaniel is already inside so come in"

Beth exploded, so Daniel slowly walked inside

"So can we leave now some of us would love to be going home"

Nathaniel groaned,

"So can we leave now some of us would love to be going home"

Beth mocked

"Ok, let's go come on now"

Daniel decided before leaving, Beth rolled her eyes before running after Daniel

"Well you aren't meant to be running Love, but I mean fuck it"

Nathaniel yelled before strolling to the car. Once he had made it to the car, he laughed at how Beth and Daniel were standing at the car annoyed waiting for Nathaniel to finally make it, Nathaniel who wanted to annoy them went to the toilet.

"Someone decided to finally come after annoying me to hurry up so that you could go home"

Beth complained

"I love annoying you love"

Nathaniel chuckled

"Well can you open the car, it's cold"

Beth complained

"Well then wear more clothes it's that simple"

Nathaniel laughed as he opened the car, Beth hopped into the passenger seat thinking that Daniel would be driving, but to her surprise Nathaniel sat in the driver's seat and Daniel in the back.

"No, no, no"

Beth yelled and tried to get out of the car but Nathaniel had already started the car

"Daniel why"

Beth complained

"Well who did you think was going to drive, me or Daniel. I think something went wrong with your brain when you were in that coma"

Nathaniel laughed

"Well I'm sorry, I didn't even know you were going to be here"

"Daniel I think we should turn back and get Beth's brain checked"

Nathaniel laughed

"Don't bring me into this ok. I do not want to be brought into the squabble"

Daniel defended

"There is nothing wrong with my brain, you just haven't visited me once in the past week so what was I meant to think that you would come and pick me up"

"Well I had to come because some needed to sign your forms and you apparently aren't allowed to sign them"

"You could have still visited me, like everyone else"

"I visited you for almost every single day while you were in your coma I wanted to do some stuff for myself, a week not seeing me won't so you any harm, I get it it's very hard to not miss me because I am that amazing but you can back it up"

"I didn't miss you, you aren't that special in my life. I just thought it was rude that you didn't visit me. Why did you guys even come back, I thought you would have it happy in New York with Elizabeth?"

Beth asked

"Nathaniel"

Daniel pushed the question onto Nathaniel

"We heard on the radio that they thought you guys or we were in New Hope and so we came to rescue you which clearly didn't work"

Nathaniel explained

"You guys are idiots for doing that, if you guys would have stayed in New York you wouldn't have gotten captured if we would have been captured, so where's that bitch Elizabeth"

Beth hissed

"Beats me, if I see her anywhere I will murder her and I hope she knows that"

Nathaniel informed, the rest of the car ride Daniel and Beth spoke about a funny football game while Nathaniel just drove home. Once they made it Nathaniel went up to his and Daniels room, and Daniel helped Beth get inside, they went into the living room where everyone else was waiting. Beth got her laptop and got caught on all her school work with Quinn helping her. Daniel got to working a bit more on the baby things with Becca and Melania helping, Sage just sat on a chair saying she was helping but she was just talking.

"Did Nathaniel really visit me all the time while I was in my coma"

Beth asked

"Beth, do your school work. Plus where is this coming from"

Quinn asked encouraging her to focus on her schoolwork

"Well he said it in the car and well did he really do that"

Quinn sighed

"Yeah, for the first two weeks not as much but after that he was in your room almost everyday, I think also on the first night he slept in your room"

"Really"

"Yeah we still don't know why we just assumed he couldn't sleep and bribed the receptionist to let him in your room"

"He really did that"

"Yeah, but can you focus on your school work, you want to graduate right"

"I will graduate I only need two more credits and I did my SAT's last year, I wanted to take four classes"

"I would say nerd but I took three classes and only need two more credits"

"Exactly plus, I'm done"

Beth smiled sending in her work

"So are you excited for your child, cause I want to be the godmother and the cool aunt. Wait, Becca's probably the cool aunt then I am the rich aunt. You know hows my OnlyFans?"

"Your OnlyFans is doing amazing, be took enough photos to post them spaced out and well sure be the rich aunt I don't really care and you'll all be written as emergency contacts for the child"

"So names, it's coming out in a month so we need names, boy, girl, maybe we could go for a gender neutral name"

"Well that's good I have a whole list"

"I thought you didn't want a child"

"I don't really but one child is fine no more and I like naming children or like writing down my dream names, you don't do that?"

"Well some of my favorite names are for girls: Jade, Ember, Larissa, Charlotte which can also be Charlie or Charles, Phoebe, Cleo or Chloe, Serena which I think could be very good if you have a girl because you like moon and that things and I believe it means moon goddess, Lilith, Zelda, Raven or Phoenix are super cute. And for boys ugh boy names are so much more boring anyway for that I find cute Charles or Charlie, Atlas, Eden, Aiden, Zayn, Harry, Nial, Liam, Louis look boys names are so blah, Alex could it could go to Alexandra, Alexis uhh Taylor. Yeah that's about all names I can think of that I think you would like"

"You know I was going to wing it with naming the child"

"Why it's fun to think of names especially when writing like so fun"

"You know, you seem to really like children especially with naming them"

"I love naming people but god no children are so annoying with the whining and crying. No, that's why I am glad my room is a bit away from your room"

"My sleep schedule is going to be so messed up, and then I also have school"

"You have three classes, you'll survive, you're super smart, and that's why you have six other people who can take care of your child. Well four, so you're fine."

"I guess, I can't imagine how it would have been if I was still with my parents"

"You've barely talked about your parents, like I know something about all of everyone's parents but not about yours"

"Oh that's because my parents like most of our parents were never at home so I don't talk about them"

"Yeah, what happened to the girl who shot me"

"I don't know she ran out crying telling us how much she regretted shooting you. And I believe Daniel was yelling at her to leave and tell no one she saw us, so I'm guessing she didn't"

"I feel bad for her"

"She shot you"

"Did you see her? She was saying she needed to do this to prove to her dad she is good enough. It's hard to get a parents approval and when you don't have it you'll do everything to get it"

"I guess but she did try to shoot Nathaniel"

"Where is he anyway, I haven't seen him since he left the car"

"I think he went to his room, he's been spending all his time in there and we just let him, maybe he's doing his school"

"I didn't take Nathaniel as the type to spend all his time in a room and not with other people"

"Didn't you, you know what never mind"

"Used to be best friends"

"Yeah that's what I was going to say"

"OK well since I'm done with school I'm going to my room, I need to continue writing and I haven't written in awhile"

Beth announced and left for her room leaving Quinn alone in the living room. Quinn sat there for a while doing her schoolwork.

"Good we're finally done"

Sage yawned

"Sage, you did nothing. You just sat there"

Melania called her out

"Well someone needs to be the entertainment"

Sage clarified

"Ok well now that we're done, Daniel you said you would go jogging with me and do a race to see who's faster"

Melania told Daniel

"Well this is boring let's go Sage"

Becca instructed and her and Sage left the room

"So, what are we going to do"

Becca asked

"Well I wanted to plant some more flowers and trim the garden"

Sage explained

"Fine I guess I'll sit there with you"

Becca decided

"You could help gardening is fun"

"No thanks I'm good, I don't really feel like getting my hands and clothes dirty"

"Well ok, wait real quick I need to get changed because I am not gardening in this"

Sage pointed down to the dress she was wearing and her and Becca went to Sage's room and Sage put on some pants and a top while Becca was looking the other way. They walked to the garden and Sage worked on the garden while Becca sat next to her and just watched. Daniel and Melania went on a run, while Nathaniel eventually tiptoed out of his room, talked a bit to Quinn before tiptoeing back. They spent the rest of the day like this before dinner arrived and everyone was together. They talked a bit about the cat they wanted and ended up all agreeing on a ginger kitten. Beth and Nathaniel who were sitting across from each other were laughing the whole time as they would do stupid faces. They also somehow got to the topic of baby names and Beth told everyone about all the baby names she had told Quinn before the group collectively added more, Quinn was just sitting there as they were talking about baby names just shaking her head in disappointment. But at the end they all laughed about it. Beth when they arrived had made the impulsive decision to buy a projector and today they finally decided to use it, they set up blankets on the ground in the garden and hung one up. They got out some sweets and sat down together and watched a few movies. Sage ended up falling asleep on Melania's legs during the first movie. Quinn was sitting on a chair right at the back with Becca leaning her back against the chair and Daniel was sitting next to Becca. Beth and Nathaniel were banished to the side of the blankets as they both loved to talk during movies and the others didn't want to hear people talking, instead they wanted to listen to the movie. Near the end of the third movie Nathaniel fell asleep on Beth's legs on a pillow. Beth let him and every now and then she would look down and just stare at him. Daniel ended up moving to Beth, who was alone.

"I hate Nathaniel"

Daniel mocked Beth while laughing

"What"

Beth answered

"Well you claim you hate him and them you let him sleep on you"

I'm just being nice"

"Yeah sure you are"

"I am, what am I meant to do throw him off"

"Well you wouldn't even let someone be able to sleep on you"

"It's called being nice, you should try it"

"Why don't you try it"

Daniel chuckled

"I am, you know what I am sometimes nice, I'm only mean when people like him"

Beth gestured to Nathaniel

"Annoy me"

Beth finished

"Your also mean when you don't get your way"

"Hey, no I'm not"

"Anyway, back to what I was say are you sure you hate him"

"Yes, maybe, no, I don't know. Like he's done so stupid shit but he's also done some very nice shit and I guess when he said the thing I saw the regret as soon as he said it and to be honest I was never mad at him about that I was more mad that he just left without telling me and once he left he asked and thats what made me mad but he never apologized for that. So I never hated him. I just disliked him and thought he could leave and I wouldn't care, plus I found it fun annoying him. So... I don't know"

"I'm sure he found it hilarious to annoy you because you are so easy to annoy like look how mad you got when he called you love, I would have had a blast"

"Your bullying me"

"Sweetie I'm your best friend I bully you for a living"

"I would totally push you but then I would wake up this asshat"

Beth pointed at Nathaniel

"Whipped"

Daniel coughed

"Can you guys shut up some of us want to watch the movie"

Melania yelled at Beth and Daniel

"Well it's very helpful to scream when trying to listen to a movie"

Beth chuckled

"Beth, you are so annoying"

Melania hissed

"I know right"

Beth laughed, Melania just rolled her eyes and looked at the movie. Daniel and Beth stopped talking and watched the movie but eventually she also fell asleep. After another two hours Melania and Quinn were the only ones still awake

"Should we just let them sleep here"

Quinn asked

"Yeah, I'll carry Sage to our room but the others can sleep out here. I'm sure it won't rain and if it does well they're fucked"

Melania laughed and Quinn went inside and so did Melania carrying Sage. The next morning Nathaniel was the first to awake, for the first few minutes he lay there and admired Beth, but soon Daniel woke up. Looked at Nathaniel staring at Beth and coughed

"Whipped"

Nathaniel didn't hear anything but he stood up and walked inside to get changed, Daniel followed and so the boys decided to go jogging. Becca was the next to awake with Beth soon after, they smelled the smell of the pancakes Sage was making and both raced to the kitchen to eat.

The next two weeks went by very fast, everyone was swamped with school and they were having their hands full with their new cat. Quinn was also set to give birth in a week. Beth and Nathaniel had barely talked the past weeks and hadn't talked once one on one always in a conversation with other people. Daniel was slowly getting over Francis and Beth was there if he ever needed to cry about Francis. Nathaniel had been feeling down so Becca started to drink again so she could be there for Nathaniel in the only way she knew how. Quinn didn't do much, and Sage would always be there to give her company. Melania, Daniel and Nathaniel had gone jogging almost everyday to stay in shape. Sages shop was growing bigger and bigger so she had everyone help her with her orders and Sage would always help Becca and Melania with their orders. Because the two shops were making so much money Beth took a step back from OnlyFans because they were making enough and she still needed to recover. Beth had been to the hospital a few times with Nathaniel but they wouldn't talk.

Two weeks after Beth was released from the hospital she had to go back as she had pains in her stomach. So her and Nathaniel got into the car and went to the hospital, it was silent like it always was, they walked to the receptionist and went into a nurses room where Nathaniel sat down on a chair and Beth got checked, soon the doctor came in

"Welcome it's good to see you two again."

He welcomed and shook both of their hands

"So Beth your wound is not healing probably and that's why you have stomach pains so I would advise you to stay comfortable on a chair and not walk around that much"

He told her and Beth just nodded

"Ok, thank you doctor"

Nathaniel thanked before the doctor left and soon after so did Nathaniel and Beth. Again Beth and Nathaniel were quiet and when they arrived Beth ran into her room. Nathaniel shrugged and walked inside the house.

"Is everything ok with Beth"

Becca asks concerned

"I don't know, I'll check up on her"

Nathaniel volunteers and he knocks on Beths door

"Beth everything ok"

He asks quietly, he could hear her sniffle

"I'm fine go away"

She yells from inside

"Beth, I can hear you cry. Are you sure?"

Nathaniel asks, before slowly opening the door, walking in and shutting it. He saw her leaning against her bed, her face buried in her knees. Nathaniel sat down next to her.

"Are you sure everything is ok"

He asks once again in a very soft voice

"No, I'm not ok. I can't do anything. I can't even sit there and do nothing to make my wound heal. I don't even know why I even walked in front of the bullet, I'm just an idiot for doing it. I just moved out of instinct and now I was in a coma for a month have a stupid stomach injury that hurts all the time because its in my fucking stomach. I'm just a fuck up"

"Your not a fuck up Beth"

"Of course I am. I can't do anything. I was fucking jealous of you because you had the courage to leave the toxic friend group we had, I was jealous how amazing your parents were and I had a mom who cheats and does nothing and a dad who only drinks and hits me, I was mad that you would leave me and find better friends and so I started being mean to you which made you mad and then I got even more mad. Then I stayed in the most toxic place ever, at school and at home. I'm so used to being hit that when I got a boyfriend who hit me I thought it was fucking normal. I was with him for however many years and nothing changed. I just had more bruises to cover up with makeup. I couldn't even stand up to him like I do to everyone else because I'm weak. He cheated on me and I knew it but I couldn't leave him because he had made me feel dependent on him. His excuse was because I wouldn't have sex with him, our whole relationship he had been pressuring me to have sex with him and eventually he forced me to sleep with him, and the day after I broke up with him. But only because Daniel forced me too. I couldn't even do it myself without someone forcing me to. Fast forward a few months and then I jump in front of you to get a bullet in my stomach, and now I can't even take care of my bullet wound. I'm not even good at my school work, I just force myself to do everything, the amount of sleepless nights I've had trying to do my school material cause I didn't understand it. I still do it, know I just understand it a bit better. My maths grades would suck, I had a tutor for the longest time as well because my dad couldn't have it that his daughter had okish grades but when I became one of the best students at school he still wasn't proud because I wasn't the best. But then that fucker has the audacity to throw bottles, chairs, forks and whatever he's thrown at me. I don't even know what I'm good at like I can write but I don't think I'm good at it and nobody who I've ever shown my work to finds it good. I'm just a sad excuse of a human being"

Beth cried

"Beth"

Nathaniel hugged her and Beth dug her face into Nathaniel's shoulder, she wiped her eyes with Nathaniel's shirt. She looked at him and the tears started falling again. Nathaniel leaned in and kissed Beth on her forehead.

"It's ok let it all out"

He emphasized and hugged her again. They both were sitting on the floor, Nathaniel hugging Beth and Beth hugging him back with her face buried in his shoulder, Nathaniel was playing with Beth's hair. They sat there for ten minutes in silence. Until Beth broke the silence

"You remember in 7th grade when you got your dog and I would always come over like everyday to see your dog. You know I actually did it to see you but the dog was my excuse. And then in like 10th grade I was invited over because of our families and after that for two months I came over to play with your dog. It was the same, I wanted to see how you were doing and that was my only way how. Your parents would always tell me everything"

"You know she really missed you when you stopped coming over"

"And she doesn't miss you"

"Nah, she hates me"

They both chuckled

"Ok well I'm going to go"

Nathaniel said and then stood up he walked to the door and was about to open it

"Wait"

Beth yelled quietly, she stood up, ran to him and kissed him.

"Well now you can leave"

She teased breaking the kiss and going to her bathroom. Nathaniel smiled to himself before leaving her room.

"She's fine, she's taking a shower now"

He announced before going up to his room to shower. A week later everyone was downstairs when Quinns water broke, they all freaked out and rushed to the hospital. Everyone was waiting outside for Quinn to give birth. Nathaniel and Daniel had gone to get some food, Beth and Becca were talking and so were Sage and Melania

"How long is this going to take"

Beth groaned

"However long it takes Love"

Nathaniel hugged Beth from behind

"Well I want to meet her child and know the name"

Beth squealed. Nathaniel laughed and from behind picked her up

"What are you doing you asshat"

Beth wailed and Nathaniel put her down behind him so he could talk to Becca

"You could have just walked you didn't have to move me"

Beth commented

"But where's the fun in that"

Nathaniel teased. Beth mocked him and Becca let out a giggle. Beth then moved to Nathaniel and rested her head on his shoulder, Beth forced her hand into his hand so she could hold his hand. Daniel had stood next to Becca and Sage and Melania had also moved to them so they all started talking about random this hoping that soon someone would came out the door telling them

"You guys can come in"

They all rushed in, admiring Quinn's new child, Quinn held up her child and smiled.

"Meet your family Luna"
