CHAPTER 9
Nick’s POV
He know that the media were capturing what were their hands doing.
As soon as they arrived at the explosion site he and Jay checked the family of the victims first, the explosion caused 15 casualties and half of the victims have families. Some families were crying for justice and the ret were crying.
The worse ones that had to endure the sufferings were the children. He has seen them crying and he just wants to hug the children to bring comfort but the families won’t let them just get near them.
Several fire trucks were already there but still not enough to put out the fire. Its nearing sunset but the fire is still ongoing.
“Nick, let’s go to our accommodation. It’s cold now. Let’s just get updates from there.” Jay said to him.
“We can’t. The families are still here and we can’t just leave them. Look at the kids they are still grieving for their fathers.”
“We’re gonna comeback here tomorrow early in the morning. Besides the board might be calling us for an update.”
“Okay, but let’s make sure first to get the families’ names before we go. And make sure that they have a proper meal this time.”
“Sure. Let the bodyguards do that.”
After getting the info’s of the families of the victims and after interviewing them, they left straight to their hotel.
At the hotel
Nick wasn’t still sure if they just leave the site just like that. The families were still there but they left.
As they arrived to the accommodation, he was walking back and fort as he is still no assurance if the kids on the site was okay.
He suddenly thought of Stephen. He wonders if his bother is okay. He then called his brother to make sure that Stephen was okay.
“Stephen? It’s your Kuya.”
“Kuya! Finally you called!” Stephen answered with happiness and longing on it’s tone.
“Yes baby, it’s me. I miss you already baby. Did you eat already?” He asked.
“I miss you too, Kuya. Yes, I ate already. Where’s Kuya Jay?”
“Uh… He’s busy right now baby. Maybe you can call him tomorrow.”
“Sure Kuya. He saved his number on my phone when he drove me to school and he said to call him whenever I want.” The child replied happily.
“Who are you talking to?” Jay suddenly interrupted their talk.
“Who is that Kuya? Is that Kuya Jay?” Stephen asked him.
He doesn’t know who is he going to answer.
“Well…?”
“It’s Stephen.” He answered Jay
“You lied to me Kuya! You said that it’s bad to lie, then why did you lie to me?” Stephen cried on the phone.
“No baby, I did not lie to you.” He then glared at Jay for the sudden interruption.
“No! I’m mad at you Kuya!”
“Here,” he gave his phone to Jay and glared. “explain to him.”
“Hey baby. It’s me your kuya Jay. Your Kuya Nick didn’t lie to you, I was busy and I just checked if he was calling you.” Jay explained.
“Really? Yay!”
Jay then chuckled after hearing Stephen in happiness.
"Okay, what do you want when we comeback there?”
“I want uhm…” Jay put the phone call on loudspeaker.
Nick suddenly punched Jay on arm. “No, Baby. We have a lot to do here and we can’t do that baby.”
“But Kuya Jay said that he can get me anything I want.” The child’s voice were about to crack.
“Yes baby. I can get it for you. Your Kuya Nick just doesn’t want it.”
‘The nerve of this man?! Is he trying to make me the bad guy?’ he thought.
“I want a robot toy!” Stephen said.
“Sure baby. Are you sure that’s all you want?”
“I want a pikachu.” Stephen said in a cute way.
“Sure, baby.”
He just put his hand over his head.
He then picked up the phone and bid goodbye to Stephen.
“Why are you being like that?” he raised his voice.
“Being what?” Jay asked innocently.
“Buying things for Stephen when I don’t want to and we’re busy here. There’s a lot to here right now.”
Jay then goes to the kitchen and prepares their dinner while he is sulking on the couch.
“Come, let’s eat.” Jay said to him.
“I don’t want to. I’ll go to sleep.” He stood up to go to his room. Their accommodation has two rooms overall and one bathroom.
“Come on, you can’t sleep when you don’t have anything on your stomach. Do you want to see Stephen crying because you got hospitalized?” Jay threatened him.
He wasn’t listening when Jay was talking, so Jay carried him in a bridal style and put him to a chair in the kitchen.
“Come on, don’t be grumpy. I just want the kid to be happy while we’re away with him. Just fill your stomach please? We’re going to work tomorrow early in the morning. You might pass out tomorrow if you don’t eat now.” Jay pleaded to him.
He then ate the food that we’re given to him. Even though he didn’t finish the food, Jay didn’t stop him and he left to his room and slept.
Jay’s POV
‘What is happening to me? I never pleaded to someone before but I just pleaded to Nick.’ He thought.
After Nick left and finished his food, he was the one to do the dishes.
After finishing the dishes, he stayed up late at night to do the unfinished work.
Nick’s POV
It was 3 in the morning and his stomach rumbles, so he get up to eat some snacks in the fridge.
‘Maybe some bread and coffee would be good to calm my stomach.’
So he got to the kitchen and prepared a coffee and a bread and got to the living space.
He wondered if Jay was still up so he go to Jay’s room and found no one there.
‘Where is that man?’ He thought.
He scanned the whole accommodation and found Jay at the Balcony tapping the keys on his laptop.
“You still up?” He asked surprising Jay a bit.
“Yeah, just finishing some files.”
He then looked at Jay’s cup.
“Do you want coffee?” He asked.
“It’s my second time now having coffee but sure.”
He got to the kitchen and prepared a hot coffee with jam and bread and put it on tray.
“Here eat first before you continue that.” He said after putting the coffee, bread and jam on the table.
“Feed me. I still have a lot of typing to do.”
He blushed at the thought of him feeding his boss which is his first time doing it in 7 years of him being a secretary.

I’m very sorry guys if I did not upload chapters for a long time. But I’ll promise now to upload as much as I can and since it’s nearing summer I’ll bring the heat between jay and nick, so watch out for that. LOVE Y'ALL
