CHAPTER 8

Nick’s POV

After Jay accidentally let go of his hand, the media immediately closed the passage for him making him away from Jay. He looked through the crowd by tip toeing to see if he find a way to get out of the place but the building was filled by the media and persons.

Then a staff of the branch they were in came.

“Sir, you need help?” The employee asked.

“Um… Yeah.” He said.

The employee is handsome, he thought. It has a fair skin, blue eyes, very masculine, proud pointed nose, and has a good lip shape. He also thought that it has a arrogant look on it’s face.

Then employee offered it’s hand to him.

“Sir, just hold to my hand because there’s still tons of media here.” The employee said.

“Okay, what’s your name?” He asked.

“I’m Leo, sir.”

“Nice to meet you. I’m Nick, the VP’s secretary.”

“I know, sir.” Leo said to him smiling charmingly.

He looked down and bit his lips to stop himself from smiling.

“I guess you’re new here?” He asked.

“Yes, sir. It’s just been a month since I was hired.”

“Oh okay. Good luck then.”

He then holds Leo’s hands to guide him out the building.

Leo’s hands were a bit callous, not that rough. He sure looks like a hardworking man. But when he hold Jay’s hands, it was callous, rough and very big, his hands were a bit small for a grown up so it fitted on Jay’s hands. A hand of a very hardworking man.

‘Why am I thinking of him?’

Jay’s POV

The media surrounded him as soon as he entered the building again. Though he can see what’s going on the center part of the building where he remembers he let go of Nick’s hands.

“Sir, answer my question please? Why did the plant burn? Why didn’t it happen on your Father’s reign? Is someone doing bad behind your back?”

“Sir, you have been seen with a women these past days, who is the lucky girl? Is she a celebrity? Or just some kind of women?”

Many reporters have also been shouting their questions to him but he didn’t entertain any because he was focused in finding Nick.

The guards immediately surrounded him as he was surrounded with the media.

“Sir, it’s better for you to go back to the car.” Said one of his bodyguards.

“No. I’m finding my secretary.” He said.

“Sir, go back to the car and we’ll find your secretary.” The head of the bodyguard said to him in the earpiece he had been wearing since going to Zambales.

“No, I’m going to find him too. Just secure the place for me.” He commanded.

The Reporters cameras were flashing and they were shouting their questions to him. The reporters even pushed the bodyguards but his bodyguards’ bodies were impenetretable.

After finding Nick for almost 20 minutes he still did not find him. The medias we’re still surrounding them.

“Nick! Nick!” He shouted and shouted. The media finally shut asking him questions as he’s shouting Nick’s name that left the media confused who’s he calling.

Nick’s POV

He and Leo were on their way to the back door of the building when he heard his name shouted by a familiar voice.

‘It’s my boss!’

“Leo, my boss is calling me.” He said to Leo who’s still holding his hand.

“Who?” Leo asked.

He suddenly felt a tall man that’s behind him watching the both of them.

“Where are you going?” Jay asked and held his other hand.

When he turned around, Jay’s eyes met his with a glare.

“Outside. It’s hard to pass by the media so Leo, a staff here, helped me to get out.” He explained.

“Then why is he holding your hand?”

“He was just guiding me.”

“He can guide you while not holding your hand.”

“Let’s not argue here, there’s a lot of camera shooting us and microphones in the air.” He then faked his smile and held Jay’s elbow.

Then they go out of the building using the back door and went straight to the car.

The two of them were silent and he’s not planning to speak at any moment.

“Okay, sorry.” Jay then spoke.

"It’s okay, I don’t mind it.” He was looking outside while his arms crossed.

“No, I’m sorry for acting like that. But you shouldn’t let anyone hold your hand.” Jay was now facing him and trying to plead him.

“Yes! You shouldn’t act like that especially in front of your employee. He was just guiding me to outside. So, why act like that? And why you are deciding for me on who’s going to hold my hand? It’s not yours to claim.” He raised his voice though the car was divided into two sections and the only way to communicate each other was through a radio and a small window.

“I’m sorry, okay? I told you to hold my hand tight.”

“And now I’m the one who’s at fault?! You were the one to let go and one second, I’m lost. Bastard.”

His head is about to blow up and the man beside him keeps adding lava to his volcano that’s about to erupt once he is very full.

“Sir, we’re here.” The driver informed them.

He quickly go out since he still need to turn around the car but he was surprised when Jay held his hand and guided him towards the crowd who’s on site where the explosion happened.

As soon they were spoted by the media, the flashes of camera immediately flashed and multiple reporters surrounded them and asked their questions. He thought that Jay is going to let go of his hand this time but he was wrong about it. Jay held his hand tightly this time.

Jay’s POV

As soon as they were told that they are at the location where the explosion happened, he immediately get out of the car and meet Nick at the middle of the car and held Nick’s hand without further a due.

He knew that Nick is still very mad at him right now but he’s going to his best not to disappoint again Nick.

He held Nick’s hand but this time I’s tighter and he’s not going to care even if the media sees their hand together.

All he cares now is his little bunny not to get lost. Again. With other man holding it’s hand.
