Chapter Thirty-six

She told Bryan about her plan when he woke up and for the longest time he said nothing she waited,

“You say Winslow is on this?” He finally said and she nodded,

“He said he’ll come, but will keep his distance, so as not to set, Callum on edge and make him bulk.” A ghost of a smile appeared on Bryan’s face and he nodded,

“I see. That’s not a bad plan.”

“So how do we get back to him? Tell him we’re interested in what he has to say, did he leave a phone number?”

“Hold on a sec.” He got up and went in search of the letter, read through it, “yes, just one.”

Aine sent up a prayer for guidance and blew out a breath, “Alright. Let’s give him a call.”

She had chosen not to say a word, but Bryan had left the call on loudspeaker so she could hear all that was being said.

His voice hadn’t really changed and took her to a time and place that she had once forgotten ever truly existed.
