The Winged Alpha's Mate

I sigh as I walk down the hallway. I should have known Eclipsia had no interest in me. That guy was probably her boyfriend. I sniff back the tears as my heart breaks at the thought of someone else touching my mate. We hadn't even known each other that long and the pull from our mate bond was unusually strong. I suddenly stumble back as I bump into someone. 


A hand grabbed my arm roughly, causing me to cry out as they shove me into the men's bathroom. I whimper as I stumble away from my attacker and look for an exit. The guy in front of me smirks as two more walk in behind him and shut the door, blocking it with their bodies. 


"I...I'm not supposed to be here." I stammer, not knowing what to do as the he steps towards me. 


" 'I'm not supposed to be here.' " he mocks, smirking down at me. "No duh Sherlock." 


He grabs my by the shirt and pins me to the wall, licking his lips as he looks at me. "You need to learn your place and leave Eclipsia alone. She'll never be friends with a geek like you!" He rubbed my lip with a thumb, "me on the other hand, I could use a new 'play mate' " he smirked as his friends snickered at his choice of words. 


"N..no please..." I whimper, closing my eyes as he laughs and reaches for my shirt. 


A loud roar echoes through the bathroom and he is suddenly ripped away from me. I crumble to the floor, curling into a ball as I hear fighting break out around me. The fighting suddenly stops and I open my eyes to find Eclipsia standing over me, panting hard. The boys lay groaning on the floor at her feet with blood staining the tiles around them. Eclipsia turns and shoots me a grin before her eyes roll back into her head and she falls to the floor. 


I scream as I rush over to her, finding a large gash on her stomach. The guy from the cafeteria runs in and, upon seeing her, picks her up gently before running out the bathroom door. I jump up after hesitating for only a second and run after him, determined to make sure Eclipsia was ok as the man takes her to a car and looks back at me. 


"Well are you going to help or what?" He frowns at me as I stop and stare. "Open the door and sit down. I'll lay her with her head on your lap so you can keep her steady." I nod slowly before getting in, stiffening as Eclipsia is laid with her head on my lap. 


"Hold on!" He tells me as he jumps into the driver's seat and pulls out of the parking lot. 


"Wh..who are you?" I ask timidly, afraid of the answer as I hold onto Eclipsia for dear life. The man drives quickly and almost recklessly away from the school. 


"I'm Toryn Flare, Alpha Eclipsia's beta." He answered, glancing back in the mirror as Eclipsia moans. 


"A..alpha?!" My mouth dropp open as I stare at the woman on my lap. 


I had never heard of a woman Alpha before! Betas and gammas? Sure, but alpha? Never. I stare down at the girl in my lap in amazement. She must be really strong if she's an alpha.
