CHAPTER LXII: Hidden Vandalisms

The night after the party concluded, my brother was the first one to greet me back home.

Fortunately, he wasn't with our parents.

He informed me that they weren't aware of my presence that evening which made me sigh a breath of relief.

What bothers me now is how sullen his expression is during the entirety of our conversation.

I understand that he's extremely worried about me but him making that kind of face just makes it more taxing for me.

I tapped his hand and made him look at me.

"I'm alright. It's not that big of a deal."

I just realized how ironic it was for me to say that after I made such a dramatic exit in front of my companions.

I want to go back in time and slap my flustered self.

How pathetic could I have looked during that time?

"I know. You're strong and all. But not about this."

"How can you be sure of that?"

"How can I not? I'm your brother."

I felt a slight pang in my chest after those words left his mouth.
