From ancient times, there existed businesses that sold wishes if the customer paid the right price. It didn't matter if the wisher was human or not. For more reasons than one, the current wish granted Xiao finds it is difficult to not get lost in the mysteries of his job and the world around him. There is discord brewing all around him.

And, as the water thickens, so does the stakes for everyone involved. Magic might turn out to be not so magical after all as their worlds collide in his view. Not to mention, their latest acquaintance seems a little sketchy. 

And the dreams that haunt one's subconsciousness make everything much more complicated.

The Business of Wishes

“You alright? You’ve been spacing out a lot recently” he recognized that voice. The tired blue eyes turned to meet eager ones. Then they shifted to look outside the window again. Around them, the scenery changed but none of the two paid it any attention. 


“It’s alright. It’s just a little noisy around” the other just looked on in confusion at the admission. For all his smarts, Noah was still yet a child who didn’t know all the ins and outs of his posts. Or even this world. 


Naturally, Xiao was aware that he could not understand his words. Noah was at the stage where he was going to question every little thing possible. 


Things Xiao could not give him the answer for right now. Not before he could make Noah aware of what he was asking for. Also, the constant buzz under his skin was getting too irritating for him.
