From ancient times, there existed businesses that sold wishes if the customer paid the right price. It didn't matter if the wisher was human or not. For more reasons than one, the current wish granted Xiao finds it is difficult to not get lost in the mysteries of his job and the world around him. There is discord brewing all around him.

And, as the water thickens, so does the stakes for everyone involved. Magic might turn out to be not so magical after all as their worlds collide in his view. Not to mention, their latest acquaintance seems a little sketchy. 

And the dreams that haunt one's subconsciousness make everything much more complicated.

The Business of Wishes

“You alright? You’ve been awfully quiet this past hour” Xiao appreciated Kei checking upon him, but not right now with his lack of sleep and the disastrous morning routine. What he needed was a good chunk of sleep. 


After the smoke had cleared up they had made a check of their parameter. However, it was as Xiao had already guessed. It was a remote attack on their location facilitated with the help of magic and nothing else. 


Kei had also failed to deduce anything and to ask the child was out of the question. Although Abraxas looked more than comfortable after everything had happened, Xiao was not going to go ahead and ask the child. 


“Does this happen often with you? You’re one hell of a troubled kid” well, at least if Xiao was not willing to breach the topic, Kei had no such problem. Seeing as how Xiao was not willing to answer, Kei took it upon himself to find a new target.
