From ancient times, there existed businesses that sold wishes if the customer paid the right price. It didn't matter if the wisher was human or not. For more reasons than one, the current wish granted Xiao finds it is difficult to not get lost in the mysteries of his job and the world around him. There is discord brewing all around him.

And, as the water thickens, so does the stakes for everyone involved. Magic might turn out to be not so magical after all as their worlds collide in his view. Not to mention, their latest acquaintance seems a little sketchy. 

And the dreams that haunt one's subconsciousness make everything much more complicated.

The Business of Wishes

“Situation is really bad. Though they were taking it out of proportion but now that I see it myself, it really does feel as if it can explode at any time” Kei words held so much truth that even Xiao was taken back. While he had assessed the situation himself, Kei had a much more in-depth knowledge of everything around them. 


It won’t surprise Xiao at all after what they had faced before and whatever had been revealed beforehand. Kei was much more knowledgeable about these topics so Xiao felt much better taking him at face value for now. 


The clearing from before was much worse than they had left it. It had been broken with signs of destruction everywhere which had not been cleaned when they had left but the overall scope of destruction had been very limited in nature.
