Chapter 47: Mr. Brown

The doors to the meeting room opened. Upon hearing the guards announce the arrival of the Princess, the man waiting at one of the couches abruptly stood up to bow. Rhea greeted in response and took a look at the man.

He seemed like a peasant. His clothes were worn out and old, yet cleaned as much as possible, perhaps in preparation to visit the Palace. His hair had fully greyed and his eyes drooped from age. He hunched slightly when he stood, and his hands trembled. A very weak man who struggles to live his days.

Rhea motioned for him to sit and took a seat opposite to him. Phileas followed behind her and was about to sit down when the man stood up suddenly and bowed.

"I gravely apologise for my insolence, your Highness, but I wish to speak to you only. Please forgive me," he held his hands in prayer waiting for a response.

Rhea responded, "He is a trusted person. You may speak here".
